I love both. Matilda reminds me of spring flowers while Maeve reminds me of a warm ocean breeze. 
What about Matilda Maeve or Maeve Matilda??? I have met one Maeve and one young girl and one woman named Matilda. The young girl went by Tilly for short. I have noticed Maeve has become more popular than Matilda in the US but Matilda is incredibly popular in Europe and Australia.
