[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all, I’m looking for opinions on [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] vs. [name_f]Maeva[/name_f]. I recently heard a little girl named [name_f]Maeva[/name_f] and fell in love with the name. I think [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is a pretty name but [name_f]Maeva[/name_f] seems more complete to me in a way. I know [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is gaining some popularity and I’m wondering if [name_f]Maeva[/name_f] has the same impact or whether people would assume it’s a made up name. Apparently it’s widely used in [name_f]France[/name_f]. Would people mind sharing their opinions with me?
I believe [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is Irish from [name_f]Maebh[/name_f]. It’s a beautiful name.
Maeva is pretty and reminiscent of the overused [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. It feels like an invented name where two popular names [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] have been combined. But it does look and sound pretty
I prefer [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] but [name_f]Maeva[/name_f] seems to be the one for you
I prefer [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] but [name_f]Maeva[/name_f] is nice too!
I prefer [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] as well, but I think that you’re loving [name_f]Maeva[/name_f] so go for it! It doesn’t really sound made up to me
I prefer [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. As much as I want to love [name_f]Maeva[/name_f] as much, it just reminds me of the overused [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. I do think it’s gorgeous though and it sounds great for you!
I think it sounds nice. The a does make it more complete.
I prefer [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. To me maeva just doesn’t seem right for some reason
Both names are gorgeous! The pronunciation issues bug me with [name_f]Maeva[/name_f], though. Most people would probably assume it’s pronounced mave-uh, but it’s actually my-ave-uh.
