Maeve

Hello all,

I posted recently about a name for my third. Not sure if the baby is a boy or girl. My two daughters are [name_f]Colette[/name_f] [name_f]Diane[/name_f] and [name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. I was mostly set on using [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] but when I say the name aloud it just feels very…forced? My grandmother was born in [name_u]Paris[/name_u] but I’m American and maybe that’s my hang up…[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], pronounced correctly, just doesn’t feel right in my voice! I know I could use [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], and it does sound better coming out of my mouth, but I love the look of [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f].

Anywho, I really adore the name [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. And I’d love to use [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] if our third is a little girl. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it would be odd to have two [name_m]French[/name_m] names and an Irish one? I should add, my grandfathers were both Irish and my husband is an Australian of Irish, Scottish and English descent. Does any of this even matter these days? I’m probably over thinking!

Thanks for the help!

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is stunning - I’d say go for it

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is beautiful!

It’s true that [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] fits better with [name_f]Colette[/name_f] & [name_f]Camille[/name_f], but you should use whichever name feels right. I think that [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] (with that spelling) is getting sort of popular anyway.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Another vote for [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]! It is gorgeous and you should use the name you love.

Thanks everyone! My heart tells me [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is the right name but it’s always nice to hear at least some other people have the same taste I do. Definitely helpful!

I love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]!

Hello! [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is absolutely beautiful! So lively, and I love the balance between the short but complete [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and longer [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s strange at all to have an Irish name beside two [name_m]French[/name_m] ones, and in fact I think it’s wonderful to honor many aspects of your heritage. Also, while [name_f]Colette[/name_f] does scream [name_m]French[/name_m] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] screams Irish, [name_f]Camille[/name_f] is not as “obvious,” for lack of a better word, and does a good job bridging. I doubt anyone but you will notice.

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is fantastic! I think it works really well with [name_f]Colette[/name_f] and [name_f]Camille[/name_f].

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] are both exceptionally pretty, but they sound slightly off together to me. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] sounds better, and goes better with [name_f]Camille[/name_f] and [name_f]Colette[/name_f] (not that I think that’s all that important).
