[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] has been in the back of my mind for some time. I was a little surprised at how popular it was on Nameberry. When the 2021 SSA list was released, I was even more surprised at the difference in it versus on Nameberry!
What are your thoughts on [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]?
Who would a [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] be?
How would you describe her?
Is [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] flirting with [name_m]Uber[/name_m] popular?
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is gorgeous. I wouldn’t let the popularity thing stop me. I’ve met one [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and she must be in her late 20’s now. Of course I am not hanging around preschools.
Me either! We have one too young for preschool still and one in 2nd grade. I don’t have a very good pulse on it, that’s why I ask on here . I’ve never met a [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] in person and could easily make it an honor name of multiple family members. Plus I just love the sound!
Me too. Our tortie kitty is [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] late dog was [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] and my other late dog was [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] this may sounding names.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] that! [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] was on me list the last time too , it must be something with May/Mae!
I find the sound unappealing but I definitely seem to be in the minority
I love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]!
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is very pretty. Warm but strong and mystical. I imagine a [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] to be friendly, kind, creative and quietly confident.
I’ve yet to meet one but it is in the UK top 100 i believe
I love the name but am biased. [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter is [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and it fits her perfectly. We chose the name for my late Irish grandmother, [name_f]Mary[/name_f] but she went by [name_f]May[/name_f]. I was going to name my daughter [name_f]Mae[/name_f] until I heard the name [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and fell in love. It is stronger than just [name_f]Mae[/name_f] yet still has that lovely feminine and sweet sound. Plus, I love the meaning behind it- “warrior queen.” All of these things fit my now 2 year old perfectly. Also, born at a decent size with a powerful set of lungs, nurses called her mighty maeve in the hospital and it stuck! We also love the nickname Maevey and call her maevey girl.
I love that! Sounds like it fits your daughter perfectly! Thanks for sharing!
