Magnolia and Anneliese

They would be lovely sibset.

I think they would be lovely together

Well, thanks for the reassurance!

@tfzolghadr, thanks for the suggestion of [name]Nell[/name]! Wouldn’t have thought of that out of [name]Anneliese[/name], but love it in general. Have to see if DH would go for it…he’s also opposed to [name]Maggie[/name]. :frowning: Most of the other [name]Magnolia[/name] options aren’t appealing to me except [name]Lia[/name]. I also realized that [name]Ann[/name] or [name]Anna[/name] would be very reasonable with [name]May[/name].

I like [name]Elise[/name] best out of [name]Anneliese[/name], but it seems too close to [name]Maisie[/name]. Unless we just used [name]May[/name] without [name]Maisie[/name]. [name]Maggie[/name] and [name]Elise[/name] seem a perfect combo to me, but I guess DH has a say in it, too. [name]May[/name]/[name]Maisie[/name] and [name]Nell[/name]/[name]Nellie[/name] is a maybe a cute alternative.

Or perhaps we could just always say the full names?

I think [name]Magnolia[/name] and [name]Anneliese[/name] go very well together.

NN wise, I like best:

[name]Magnolia[/name] - [name]Aggie[/name], [name]Nolie[/name], [name]Nola[/name], [name]Noel[/name], [name]Allie[/name]

[name]Anneliese[/name] - [name]Anna[/name], [name]Elise[/name], [name]Isa[/name], [name]Allie[/name], [name]Nell/name

I think they sound lovely together.

I love [name]Maisie[/name] for [name]Magnolia[/name] and I think they sound nice together! Other nn options for [name]Anneliese[/name] are [name]Annie[/name] or [name]Anna[/name]!

[name]EDIT[/name]: I really love the idea of [name]Maisie[/name] and [name]Nell[/name] as sibs! I think that is adorable.

[name]Love[/name] the idea of sisters named [name]Annaliese[/name] and [name]Magnolia[/name]! Beautiful! To bad your husbad won’t go for [name]Maggie[/name]! [name]Maisie[/name] is adorable too though. I also really like [name]Nolia[/name] as a nn for [name]Magnolia[/name]. [name]Magnolia[/name] without a nn would be awesome as well, same with [name]Annaliese[/name] although they will both probaly be shortaned by friends at some point.

@mary-la and @averelladavina, I think we have similar tastes in names! I see several that I love in both your lists. I’ve considered [name]Matilda[/name] instead of [name]Magnolia[/name], but DH doesn’t like it as much and I don’t love that it seems to be very trendy in the UK–and perhaps soon in the US. But wouldn’t [name]Matilda[/name] ([name]Tilda[/name]/[name]Tillie[/name]) and [name]Anneliese[/name] ([name]Liesel[/name]!) be adorable as sisters?

[Also, Adalheid, Casilda or Hildemara! Those are new. Super-Germanic names are my GP, but DH will not go for it. (Though we briefly talked about naming a son [name]Wolfgang[/name] after my grandfather!)]

I think [name]Anneliese[/name] will pass the DH test, though, especially as it has 3 good namesakes from both sides: my mom’s foster mother ([name]Anneliese[/name]), my best friend (mn is [name]Elise[/name]), his mom’s mn ([name]Ann[/name]) and not to mention his mom’s fn as a middle ([name]Deborah[/name]).
Thanks for your input!

I think my top choice for mns right now are [name]May[/name]/[name]Maisie[/name] & [name]Nell[/name]. Or [name]May[/name] and [name]Ann[/name] if we go for the plain route.

[name]Nolie[/name], [name]Nola[/name], [name]Nolia[/name] are all cute, but out for us because we went to a university whose football team is called the Noles. And, yes, people are crazy about football (though we aren’t), so they would DEFINITELY make the connection there if there was a little girl with such a similar name running around.
