Magnolia to get to Maggie?

My husband I agree that the name [name]Maggie[/name] is really sweet, but as a nickname not a given name (probably non negotiable).

Other than [name]Margaret[/name], we’ve though of [name]Magdalena[/name] or [name]Magdalene[/name], but he has vetoed both on the grounds that he knows a [name]Magdalena[/name] and she’s the dimmest woman he ever met.

What do you all think of [name]Magnolia[/name]? Is it too much - too saccharine?

We have 2 older children - a son named [name]Luke[/name] and a daughter named [name]Virginia[/name].

I think [name]Magnolia[/name] fits well with your other kids names. Maybe use a short middle name to balance it out?
[name]Magnolia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]? I definitely prefer [name]Magnolia[/name] to Magdalina or [name]Margret[/name]

[name]Magnolia[/name] is really beautiful with [name]Luke[/name] and [name]Virginia[/name]! I don’t think it’s “too much” at all

[name]Magnolia[/name] to me is the ultimate Southern name (in a good way-- the glamorous side of the South). Paired with [name]Virginia[/name], it works beautifully. [name]Both[/name] are elegant and feminine, and the Southern connection is undeniable without being in-your-face. [name]Luke[/name] is a sweet gentlemanly name as well.
