[name_f]Moxie[/name_f] sets pretty strong expectations as to the child’s personality. You might want to wait and see if it fits. It could be difficult for a more reserved or hesitant child to pull off.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] isn’t my style, but it’s sweet. I think people may use [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], but if you establish a different nickname, it might dissaude people. [name_f]Moxie[/name_f] could definitely work, as could [name_f]Nola[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f] or, [name_f]Molly[/name_f] or [name_f]Mally[/name_f].
hehe, my children are very outgoing. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know where they get it from, but I can’t imagine a little sister being shy growing up with them. It’s a fair point though.
I think [name_f]Moxie[/name_f] may be a bit of a stretch, but I don’t think that’s an issue. Out of your combos I think [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Frost[/name_u] flow best. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] is my favourite out of the two as it shares the double initial with her your other children’s names.
I kinda love it. And I’ve been looking for a name to “honor” my [name_f]MIL[/name_f] and she’s a gardener and they have a huge beautiful magnolia tree in their backyard. [name_m]Just[/name_m] thought of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] as that would honor her quite well, but I also really want to use something for my grandmother. Options include [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f] and secondarily [name_f]Annette[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_u]Billie[/name_u]. I do really love the [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] combo. Darling is a family name that we’ve always loved as a second middle.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] (sounds like a sentence)
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] (sound like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Hope[/name_f]?)
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] Darling
Magnlolia [name_f]May[/name_f] Darling
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] Darling
I really wanted a strong, meaningful, not too fluffy name but these seem a little fluffy… but also so cute… hmm.
There’s a lot more than [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] to [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]! [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is obvious, but she could also easily [name_f]Meg[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f], [name_f]Nia[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_f]Nola[/name_f], [name_m]Nolly[/name_m], [name_f]Mally[/name_f] and still be reasonable diminutives of the original name. Technically, you CAN use any nn you please, [name_f]Moxie[/name_f] doesn’t seem to have any connection to the full name, but that doesn’t have to stop you.
I like the alliteration of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f], but be careful of that one, it can easily start to sound like a sentence – as in, “[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] may play.” The suggestion of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f] is pretty cute.
I don’t understand [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_m]Drake[/name_m] Darling… A tree and a duck? A flower and a beloved family name? I guess that one ends up a little too wordy for me, I think I need to see ONE “name” name in the combo. Using alliteration on the D will probably be tricky in sounding like a sentence too, as in, “[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] Darling.”
I know a little [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and she is usually called [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], but that was the parents choice. [name_f]Moxie[/name_f] works in my opinion. My parents never wanted me to have a nickname and always corrected people when they tried to give me one (which was very frequently), so if you don’t want any nickname, it is possible. I don’t have any combo ideas, sorry!
haha that’s funny, I don’t think of [name_m]Drake[/name_m] as duck. I think of dragon. It’s a rather important family surname that I’ve always wanted to use. But you’re right, it’s a weird combo and probably just makes sense to me because all those names have been in my head for years as “names”.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] Darling is lovely, I’ve always loved [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], but it’s too close to my son [name_u]Dash[/name_u]…but maybe as a middle.
[name_f]Margo[/name_f] is one of my all time favorites… Is [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f] too clunky?
I’m not sure it’s your style but if you wanted [name_f]Moxie[/name_f] as a more obvious middle you could get the “[name_m]OX[/name_m]” sound from a middle name. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] Oxana?
Ohh, haha! Well, it makes sense if it’s family names. They definitely sound strange in a combo when you don’t know the background.
I don’t think [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f] is too clunky, but I have pretty off-beat taste from the main bulk of Berries, so you might want to get some other opinions.
I love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]! For me, it’s a tad bold for a first name so I love it more for a middle name. I’ve met one [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and she goes by [name_f]Nola[/name_f]. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is bound to happen at some point. [name_f]Moxie[/name_f] is a stretch, but it works.
