Maia or Maya?

Which do you prefer? [name_f]Maya[/name_f] or [name_f]Maia[/name_f]?
[name_f]Maya[/name_f] reminds me of the Mayan Temples while [name_f]Maia[/name_f] seems more trendy.
What are your thoughts?

I’d say it depends on the vibe/origin you’re going for. [name_f]Maia[/name_f] feels more classical Greek while [name_f]Maya[/name_f] is international and feels like it could be the name of anyone of any race.

[name_f]Maia[/name_f]! I like the clean cut look of it. I like [name_f]Maia[/name_f]. It’s a pretty simple and sweet name. [name_f]Maya[/name_f] is used more often(#77) than [name_f]Maia/name_f.

I really like [name_f]Maia[/name_f]! I know a little girl with this name and it just feels elegant and beautiful.

I prefer [name_f]Maia[/name_f].

I feel the opposite. [name_f]Maya[/name_f] feels more current and trendy while [name_f]Maia[/name_f] feels more ancient and mysterious to me. I like [name_f]Maia[/name_f] slightly more, but I didn’t mean trendy as a negative for [name_f]Maya[/name_f]. [name_f]Maya[/name_f] would be a slightly easier spelling to live with as it is definitely the standard spelling.
