[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are stuck between two names.
[name_f]Mairead[/name_f] (potential nn Maisie)
or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (potential nn Josie)
Thoughts?
[name_f]Mairead[/name_f]! And nn [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is so cute.
I absolutely adore Mairead!!
I love both!!
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is more familiar and [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] is not as widely known. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think you will mind explaining Mairead’s pronunciation and spelling often? If not, I say go for [name_f]Mairead[/name_f]! If so, then [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] would be better.
[name_f]Mairead[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] would be beautiful.
I love them both- what about [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]?
This is a tough choice!
I prefer [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] to [name_u]Josie[/name_u], but [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] to [name_f]Mairead[/name_f].
If [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] is not going to be a difficult name to pronounce where you live, or you don’t mind correcting pronunciation regularly, I say go for [name_f]Mairead[/name_f], since it is more uncommon.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] “Maisie”
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] “Josie”!!
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is my favourite
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is such an elegant, classic name that feels timeless. I love the nickname [name_u]Josie[/name_u]! [name_u]Josie[/name_u] is fun and spunky. Very well rounded name.
two of my favorite names! If you’re planning on calling her predominantly by her nickname then I would say go with whichever one has the nickname you prefer. While I love [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], I think it can be a little long to use every day (although that’s just me). Either way, great names and whichever you don’t use for the first could be the middle.
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] “Josie” is darling!
Maisie > Josie, but Josephine > Mairead all the way!
Ooh, I do like [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] (& I like [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] even better)! [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] is likely to have pretty frequent pronunciation issues, but it’s a wonderfully original choice.
