I prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is sweet but I feel neutral about it. It just does not wow me. I actually prefer [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] as a whole. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is beautiful and comes with so many nickname possibilities. I especially love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Mette[/name_f]/[name_f]Mettie[/name_f],
I prefer [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]. It just feels sweeter and more feminine. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is nice but pales next to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] better. More uncommon i think, its also more classic sounding while [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is a little more trendy. just my personal style.
Also not to be rude but [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] makes me think of the dr suess story [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] head [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]. next thought is corn. Maise = corn. But then it finishes off with actress [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] williams! and shes super awesome and spunky. so thats redeeming. But because of the actress i think it will quickly grow in popularity as well if it hasnt begun too already. Id go for [name_f]Margot[/name_f].
I really like both, but I prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f] as a full name. You could also try [name_f]Margot[/name_f] nn [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] if you are having a lot of trouble making up your mind, although it might be a little forced.
I love [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. It’s classy, beautiful, and has a spunky -O ending to boot. [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] seems too childish for my tastes as a full, though it’s an alright nickname.
Can’t answer this because I love both but they have such different connotations to me.
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] sounds young and sweet and old-fashioned and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] (as in Fonteyn) sounds like a gorgeous, elegant, sophisticated [name_m]French[/name_m] woman.
If she’s named [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] she could go by either or both.
I love both, and both are in my top 5 for a daughter. I think I’d have to go with [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. I love the mix of class and quirk.
As a full name I really like [name_f]Margot[/name_f], as a nickname, [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is adorable.
I just find [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] a tad too sweet and insubstantial as a standalone, it also makes me think of the children’s character (the mouse) which strengthens that imagery; I do think it’s beautiful but I much prefer it as a nickname.
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] just sounds very sophisticated and wonderfully grounded; it has a vintage vibe, the -o ending makes it stand out and adds a bit of quirk and one can still use [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], etc. as nicknames.
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] sounds like a nickname to me whereas [name_f]Margot[/name_f] sounds like a full name.
