Hello! We are looking for feedback on the name [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_u]Tyler[/name_u]. We want a name that is a little unique / multi-cultural and also matches our first Daughter’s name, [name_f]Amara[/name_f]. Let us know what you think! Thanks!
I think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] are all American, honestly. It does sound cute with [name_f]Amara[/name_f], though.
[name_f]Amara[/name_f] is on my list, too. It’s so pretty!
I love the name [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]! [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] isn’t one of my top favorite names, but I still like the name. I also think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_f]Amara[/name_f] go really well together
What’s multicultural about that combo? I like [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] but to me [name_f]Amara[/name_f] & [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] don’t match
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is a family name, so we are set on that (even though it is not multi-cultural). So really [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is the only part of the name under consideration…
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is adorable. And by that I mean it’s juvenile and cutesy. I’d much prefer a longer M name with [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as a nickname. Because [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] just seems like a toddler. It’s very possible that while a sweet adorable girly girl will love being [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], a profession woman may prefer to be [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], at least on her resume.
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is lovely lovely. Have you considered [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] up front, called [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] as a pet name?
Wait, is [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] the last name or a second middle name?
Also, [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is literally a pet name so I wouldn’t use it on a human, myself. For a dog, yes, if I liked the name lol
Another note, I think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is the best part of the name! I do agree that she might want something more serious when she gets older.
I think [name_f]Marissa[/name_f] would be a beautiful way to keep [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as a nn but also give her a “grown-up” name to use if she wants.
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] comes off as very childish, especially with that spelling. I would prefer [name_f]Macy[/name_f]. I too am wondering how it’s considered multicultural? [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] seems like an extremely white American name.
I love [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]. However, I don’t like the flow of [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]. There is too much s sound. If you love it, then perfect flow isn’t the most important thing.
Oh, I wasn’t aware that [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] was pronounced like [name_f]Macy[/name_f]! I was thinking the pronounciation was [name_f]May[/name_f]-[name_f]Zee[/name_f]. I love the embellished spelling either way.
I totally forgot about [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] being the middle name, as well. So my suggestion of [name_f]Marissa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] won’t flow so well. [name_f]Marissa[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]? Probably not.
Maybe to honor the person whose name is [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], you could do [name_f]Serena[/name_f] (maybe spelled [name_f]Sarina[/name_f]/[name_f]Sarena[/name_f] so it has that same SAR at the beginning)?
That way it would be [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Serena[/name_f] (however you want to spell it). That’s gorgeous. With honor names, it’s the thought that counts, really.
[name_f]Amara[/name_f] is beautiful, exotic and sophisticated (without being pretentious). [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is a cutesy nickname type name. I named my cat [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] and think it’s adorable for a young child or pet but it pales next to [name_f]Amara[/name_f] in strength, beauty and as a name for an older girl or woman. I don’t think they are a good pair together, personally. [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is lovely. If you want to use [name_f]Maisy[/name_f], you could try to find a name that pairs well with [name_f]Amara[/name_f] and lends itself to [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as a nickname. [name_f]Amara[/name_f] is gorgeous!
Alright, the last poster kinda has a point about the names being very different styles. So, here are some name suggestions if you want them. I still think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is cute and you should use it as a nickname if possible!
I’ll throw in some other middle names you can use also to honor [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], because to me [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is a hard name to pair up.
Besides, like I mentioned, it’s (as cheesy/cliche as it sounds) the thought or intention that counts when it comes to honoring special family members this way. I would be honored to have any variation of my name intentionally and specifically included in someone’s child’s name.
I tried to get names that matched well with [name_f]Amara[/name_f], and captured a unique and even multicultural feel like you said.
Alternate potential middles:
[name_f]Soraya[/name_f] - You could spell it Saraiyah to be closer to [name_f]Sarah[/name_f].
[name_f]Serena[/name_f] - Like I mentioned a couple posts ago, you can also change the spelling to [name_f]Sarena[/name_f]/[name_f]Sarina[/name_f]. [name_f]Serenity[/name_f] would also be a beautiful option, but it’s probably too far of a stretch.
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]/[name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] - again, maybe Saraphina/Saraphine to be closer to [name_f]Sarah[/name_f].
I’ll spell them all the original way and you can think of which spelling you prefer (if you even prefer). =]
[name_f]Amara[/name_f] and…
[b][name_f]Colette[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]

[name_u]Emery[/name_u] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]
[name_f]Jaida[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f][/b] ([name_u]JAY[/name_u]-Da)
Jaiyah [name_f]Serena[/name_f] (JY-[name_m]Ah[/name_m])
Jaiyah [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]

[b]Kairie [name_f]Serena[/name_f]
Kairie [name_f]Soraya[/name_f]

[b][name_f]Natalia[/name_f] [name_f]Soraya[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f][/b] (this name isn’t unusual at all, it’s actually pretty popular but it goes well with [name_f]Amara[/name_f])
[name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] (just [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] but a little different)
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Serena[/name_f]
[b][name_f]Reina[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]
[name_u]Risa[/name_u] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Soraya[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]
Shelsea [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f][/b] (I know, double S names, but it’s unusual and goes cutely with [name_f]Amara[/name_f]) (pronounced like [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u], just with a SH sound at the beginning)
Shelsea [name_f]Serena[/name_f]
Wow, that was way more time/work than I intended on putting into this lol
I got carried away!
Obviously please feel free to mix and match the firsts and middles. Maybe even try middles as firsts =D
I didn’t put many double A ending combos in there because many people don’t like that as much as I do, haha. Also I stayed away from other A names.
Sorry I couldn’t think up any more [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] nicknames =[ and sorry for the super long post, whew!
I hope this inspires you a bit!
I love [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and think it sounds great with [name_f]Amara[/name_f]. I find [name_f]Macy[/name_f] far more childish then [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and I do pronounce them differently ([name_f]May[/name_f]-cee vs. [name_f]May[/name_f]-zee). [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] has a far nicer meaning then [name_f]Macy[/name_f] as well which is another reason [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] beats [name_f]Macy[/name_f] for me.
Okay. I’d maybe go a different direction if you’re wanting multi-cultural…
[name_f]Eleni[/name_f] - Greek
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f]/[name_f]Briony[/name_f]- popular in UK
[name_f]Dulcie[/name_f]- popular in Australia
[name_u]Dagny[/name_u]- Scandinavian
[name_f]Midori[/name_f]- Japanese
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]!
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is fine.
I love the name [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] (pronounced [name_f]May[/name_f]- [name_f]Zee[/name_f]) in fact it is my dogs name, although if I had thought about it at the time I probably would have kept it as a possible future baby name, I also think the combo [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is simple yet pretty. I Also love [name_f]Amara[/name_f], such a gorgeous choice.
