I’m conflicted between the names [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f] and [name_f]Milena[/name_f]. I’m looking for reasons why one is better than the other! Reasons for why would be wonderful! Also a description of what a girl with those names would look like! Thanks!
I would vote for [name_f]Milena[/name_f]. I’m intrigued by [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f], and if I’m remembering right, she has a lovely meaning, but that initial “lud” sound doesn’t sound very attractive to me. Plus, [name_f]Milena[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous, so [name_f]Milena[/name_f] would get my vote. I do think something like [name_f]Milena[/name_f] [name_u]Dagny[/name_u] and [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f] would be just fine, though, as a random example.
I’d be more concerned about [name_f]Milena[/name_f] and [name_f]Mileva[/name_f] together than [name_f]Milena[/name_f] and [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f], though, haha.
First of all, thanks [name_u]Ash[/name_u] for the response as always!!! According to here, [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f]'s meaning is “beloved of the people”. So it definitely has a nice meaning to it! For some odd reason, there is something about [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f] that gets me! But [name_f]Milena[/name_f] sounds so much more exotic and familiar when compared to [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f]. I particularly love your suggestion of [name_f]Milena[/name_f] [name_u]Dagny[/name_u]!
More love for [name_f]Milena[/name_f]. It’s such a pretty name. I’m with [name_u]Ash[/name_u], I don’t really see the appeal of the “lud” part in [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f], sorry.
[name_f]Milena[/name_f] all the way for me. It has a rich, warm meaning and it sounds better than [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f].
[name_f]Milena[/name_f]. [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f] is too dated for me, the only way I’d ever use it is if I referred to her exclusively as “[name_f]Mila[/name_f],” it feels a bit too old for me.
I much prefer [name_f]Milena[/name_f]. It sounds soft and exotic but packs a lot of intrigue and unique-ness. Plus the nickname [name_f]Millie[/name_f].
[name_f]Ludmila[/name_f] I find to be unattractive because the beginning syllable sounds a bit too bold and reminds me of a ‘glop’ kind of sound.
I met a not-so-nice [name_f]Ludmila[/name_f] when I was young and that completely ruined the name for me. Despite that, I don’t see the appeal. I have a friend name [name_f]Milena[/name_f], she has dark brown hair, hazel eyes and is very sweet. She is a ballet dancer. So, that’s how I imagine someone named [name_f]Milena[/name_f], really sweet and girly.
