Making a final decision this week

I’m trying to find the best name for second daughter. Her older sister is [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Page[/name_u]. ([name_u]Page[/name_u] is my husbands name and she was born on his 40th birthday) so it fit perfectly. Thanks for your help.

[name_f]Sister[/name_f] name for [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Page[/name_u]
  • [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] ([name_f]Millie[/name_f])
  • [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] ([name_f]Millie[/name_f])
  • [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] ([name_f]Sylvie[/name_f])

I really like [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] too but [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is

Are [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] too similar to you? That was my only concern this entire time. It’s such a classic name and I love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] nn. [name_f]Viv[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]

Unless [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] goes by [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] (and as I understand she wouldn’t) they’re fine!

Sylvia [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is so lovely. I am getting a very shiny image in my head. The names are a great combo.

Love [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], don’t think the names are too similar at all! [name_f]Viv[/name_f] & [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] are just enough similar to make them a perfect match IMO

I do think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is a bit redundant in sound, but [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] would be really cute too (if you’re set on [name_f]Millie[/name_f])

Then again my great-grandmother was [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Darlene[/name_f] & it never caused her any problems

Hi there.

Sylvia [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is gorgeous, but I feel like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] & [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] are a bit close for sisters. Honestly, [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is my favorite from your list (my sweet little kitty’s name! :heart_eyes_cat:), but I really love the [name_u]French[/name_u] [name_u]Camille[/name_u] w/Vivienne. And if you’re going to call her [name_f]Millie[/name_f] either way, I’d go w/Camille. It’s also far less popular.

Hope this helps.

Yeah- you’re right. I think [name_u]Camille[/name_u] is the winner. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] too but [name_u]Camille[/name_u] better with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. Also [name_f]Viv[/name_f] and sylv are close… nice to have something different. Thank you!

Sylvia [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is perfect with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]! Although if it were me I’d just go with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].

Yes I agree- I like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] more than [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] but [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] might be a nice name for a grown woman, [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] more of a nickname. Thinking now maybe [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] might be too close with the V’s

Omigosh these names… So hard to choose! At first I thought [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] no hesitation but then I saw [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and swooned. I love the v continuity with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. But [name_u]Camille[/name_u] would also be an amazing choice!

Thank you! But are [name_f]Viv[/name_f] and slyv too close with all the v’s? I love [name_u]Camille[/name_u] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/Sylvia. Hard choice!

I see what you mean but I don’t think it’s a deal breaker. It’s one of those situations that people will have differing opinions about but when the kids are named it won’t matter. For example, my niece and nephew are Ev@ and Eth@n (symbols for privacy) and if I asked anyone on this forum if those names are too close for siblings I would probably get a resounding yes. And I personally always encourage differing initials for siblings etc. But in real life their names totally work and no one thinks anything of it. That said… [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is divine and perfect as well. [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] just popped into my head as an alternative too! More subtle v connection but maintains the nature feel x

Love the suggestion of [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] to keep the “V” connection without it being so obvious in the first name.

Vivi & [name_f]Millie[/name_f]

Sylvia [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is sweet, though there’s actually a famous Oceanographer named [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_m]Earle[/name_m]. I don’t think people will notice the similarity, but just pointing that out.

I voted for [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]! I like [name_u]Camille[/name_u] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] but for some reason I was just so drawn To [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f],
I love that the girls would share the unique v connection without being to close and they also share the P middle names

Vivienne [name_u]Page[/name_u] and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] are gorgeous

So we found [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] a tad close when yelling for the girls “[name_f]Viv[/name_f] and Sylv let’s go” etc so we went with another family name that’s still french and goes with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. We decided on [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] wanted to share! Thanks for all your help! [name_u]Happy[/name_u] new year

You have made a lovely choice. I love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and it works so well alongside her sister.
