I’ve recently begun a little side-project novel, called Submerge. It tells the story of a competitive swimmer that nearly drowns during a meet and finds herself terrified of even standing near a body of water. She’s sent to her aunt’s house, nestled right next to a lake, in hopes that she can overcome her fears with the help of a bit of an unorthodox therapist and time. The main male character is the younger brother of the therapist, who also happens to be a lifeguard.
I’ve already named the main female character, [name]Hayley[/name] [name]Grace[/name] Sorensen.
I have the male lead’s last name, [name]Gardner[/name]. I’ve also named his sister already; [name]Alexandria[/name] ‘[name]Lexa[/name]’ [name]May[/name] [name]Gardner[/name].
He’s seventeen. He’s blonde, brown-eyed, and about average height. He’s generally happy and upbeat, and is well-known for his positive outlook on life. I’d really like a more layed-back kind of name, even if it’s a nickname.
I have some thoughts already, although none of them really sound right to me.
