Mallorie/Mallory

Despite this “unfortunate” name meaning I’m considering it for my hypothetical daughter’s name. My son’s name is [name_m]George[/name_m]. We named [name_m]George[/name_m] after he was born. As we are trying and I’m rooting for a girl I would like something pre-planned. It’s my personality type. I like the one syllable names with our last name that is 3 syllables and ends in the sound [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. My grandmother was [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]. My mom [name_u]Laurie[/name_u]. And I’m [name_u]Julie[/name_u]. So I’d like to have an Ie or y sounding name for daughter. My husband is a huge [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Bond[/name_m] fan. [name_m]George[/name_m] was supposed to be james. But that plan changed the week I was due much to the chagrin of both my husband and i. I thought [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] would fit the bond theme and the y sounding theme and also play on my mom’s name [name_u]Laurie[/name_u]. Thinking of calling [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] [name_f]Lory[/name_f]. My mother in law is [name_f]Linda[/name_f]. Rather than laurinda I was thinking [name_f]Mallorie[/name_f] [name_u]Lyn[/name_u]. So a few things. Is [name_f]Mallorie[/name_f] just a bad name for a girl today? Three syllable first name and last name bad? Middlename lyn silly with a last name ending in [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]? I’m digging it but don’t know if it’s too sing-song or corny or just bad all around. Thank you!!
