Mancy?

Too close to [name_f]Nancy[/name_f]?

I find it a little unappealing, sorry

I’m so sorry but it sounds like someone is making a nasty joke about a girl called Nancy… aluding to her being manly or something. I think if you like the sound, just go for [name_f]Nancy[/name_f], it’s pretty and unusual enough as it is :two_hearts:

Something about the “man” syllable at the beginning feels a little off-putting to me. I’m not sure why, because even though I don’t care for the name [name_u]Mandy[/name_u], it doesn’t give me the same instinctive reaction. I would personally go with an alternative such as [name_f]Nancy[/name_f], [name_f]Delancy[/name_f], [name_f]Tansy[/name_f], [name_u]Darcy[/name_u], or [name_f]Clemency[/name_f].

It’s very off putting.

unfortunately, it reads to me as “manky”, which just isn’t a nice connection - i would prefer to just use the lovely vintage nancy
