[name]Trinity[/name] to me feels strong, sophisticated and slightly otherworldy. I understand your desire to find a strong match for it, and I also understand that will be a difficult task; there are a few of your names that I really like, but next to [name]Trinity[/name] … it’s just like a failed chemical reaction. I’ve “played this game” with a lot of people, and I gotta say – [name]Trinity[/name] has proved one of the more difficult names to match in a sib-set. So let’s see what we can do.
OK, list in order of preference.
The YESes:
[name]Ianthe[/name] [name]Mae[/name] (note: not really my style, so should show you how the name POPPED out at me; I think it would be lovely with [name]Trinity[/name])
[name]Cassia[/name] [name]Mae[/name] (seems to match in strength & otherworldiness, though slightly too close to downmarket “[name]Cassie[/name]” for me to go nuts over it)
[name]Story[/name] [name]June[/name] (I’m not sure about the two -y endings, but the two names are still different so I don’t think it would be a problem)
The "Alright"s (again, in order of preference)
[name]Luna[/name] [name]Mai[/name]: everything’s technically working here, and I don’t dislike [name]Luna[/name], but I just don’t think it’s as “pretty” as [name]Trinity[/name]
[name]Oriel[/name] [name]June[/name]: as above, plus it reminds me so much of the bird & [name]Baltimore[/name] baseball mascot, oriole
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Mae[/name]: [name]Stella[/name] doesn’t match [name]Trinity[/name] for “unique-without-youneek”-ness, but it works & it’s pretty
[name]Tabitha[/name] [name]Mae[/name] / [name]June[/name]: different vibes – [name]Trinity[/name]'s a lot more modern, whereas [name]Tabitha[/name]'s “old-lady cute”
[name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Mae[/name] / [name]June[/name]: see [name]Stella[/name], plus I feel it’s very trendy
[name]Reese[/name]: it goes, but almost too much; it’s like [name]Reese[/name] doesn’t bring a lot to the table & [name]Trinity[/name] would overshadow her
[name]Rowan[/name]: as with [name]Reese[/name]
[name]Zoe[/name]: see [name]Stella[/name] / [name]Scarlett[/name]
I really like all of these names, but they just don’t match [name]Trinity[/name] to my ear / eye; I think it’s an issue of modernity and strength:
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Annabelle[/name] / [name]Arabella[/name] / [name]Arella[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name]
[name]May[/name] go well with [name]Trinity[/name], but I just don’t love the name:
[name]Avalon[/name] - too “fairies in the mist” / “lady of the lake”
[name]Calandra[/name] / [name]Calantha[/name] - isn’t there a dishwashing detergent / handwash called this?
[name]Sapphire[/name] - there was a nameberry post on this name once, as to if it sounded like a stripper’s name; general consensus was that it did
[name]Willow[/name] - this name is everywhere right now, but I just don’t love it – It’s riding the [name]Willow[/name] [name]Smith[/name] train and is just too trendy for me.
[name]Taliesin[/name] - Pronunciation problems, and having looked it up, I still don’t love it.
[name]Don[/name]'t love the name & don’t think it goes well with [name]Trinity[/name]:
[name]Harper[/name] - hipster trend alert! hipster trend alert!
[name]Gwendolyn[/name] - meh
[name]Keela[/name] - too much (although the more I say it, the more I like it … but I still don’t like it enough to move it to another list)
Tesslyn - sounds made-up
Trella - definitely no double Tr- sounds
[name]Tressa[/name] - as above
[name]Sian[/name] - its masculinity really comes out next to [name]Trinity[/name]
[name]River[/name] - nah
[name]Kinsley[/name]: I’m sorry, I gotta say this one sits way on the bottom of your list for me, it’s just so different from the other names – sits with [name]Ainsley[/name], [name]Mackenzie[/name] and [name]Addison[/name].
… you said you wanted a lot of feedback!
