I like it too. It sounds similar to [name]Mabel[/name], which is making a bit of a comeback, yet it sounds fresher and fits into the nature-name trend. [name]Just[/name] over a year ago there was a thread on here about [name]Maple[/name], in which I participated and which I found fascinating, and which resulted in the original poster naming her daughter [name]Maple[/name], which I thought was pretty cool. She went with the middle name [name]Violet[/name].
[name]Robert[/name] [name]Frost[/name] is highlighted because that’s how I searched for the thread just now. There are a lot of opinions on the name from other posters which you’ll hopefully find helpful.
Something you may want to keep in mind which is new since that thread was posted is that just a month or so later, actor [name]Jason[/name] Bateman and his wife named their second daughter [name]Maple[/name] [name]Sylvie[/name]. I don’t know how influential their name choice will be on the baby naming world, but sometimes celebrity babies make a big splash with their names, and if you use [name]Maple[/name] right now some people might think of [name]Maple[/name] Bateman.
Also, here’s a link to the poem I referenced in the above thread. It’s beautiful, but also thought-provoking.

[name]Both[/name] these people of whom I know chose similarly nature-themed middles to go with [name]Maple[/name] ([name]Violet[/name] and [name]Sylvie[/name].) Personally, I’d probably go with a longer, more traditional girl’s name in the middle, to balance it out. Something like [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], or [name]Gwendoline[/name], perhaps. Or something nature-themed but more subtle, like [name]Jessamine[/name].
Best wishes!
I think its fine for a middle name, but not for a first name.
I would classify it as an “old lady” name, but those are very much in style these days.
I think it’s absolutely adorable. It does have some vintage charm, because of its similarity to [name]Mabel[/name]. But it also was a has a nature vibe which is great and the cute nn [name]May[/name]. I agree with pp, I would choose a more classic middle name. Something like…
[name]Maple[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Maple[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Maple[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name]
[name]Maple[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name]
[name]Maple[/name] [name]Delilah[/name]
[name]Maple[/name] [name]Daphne[/name]
I like it! Would love to meet a girl named [name]Maple[/name]. I would consider it as a middle name, but I think it is fine for a first name.
I like it and it was on my list for ages. I don’t know your style but I like [name]Maple[/name] [name]Emilie[/name].
I am usually not a fan of new-fangled nature names (ie [name]Juniper[/name]), but I actually think this is cute. Not 100% sure how it would age, but I do like it.
