Oh sheet sheet sheet sheet sheet-
Thank you for pointing this out! Would [name_m]Miro[/name_m]-[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_m]Anson[/name_m] R be a problem?
(I get that he can go by MQAR but these would be his legal initials.)

I never heard of that meaning before.
Mar itself is a name so I guess other people are okay with it.
Youâre welcome! No, I donât think MQAR is a problem.
I know âmarâ means to mess something up in [name_f]English[/name_f], but in Spanish âel marâ is the sea , so I kind of like MAR initials! MQAR is fine too.
Same here! [name_f]Mar[/name_f] is fine; itâs not a commonly used word and certainly not one a child is likely to be teased over. I too think more of the sea.
I donât think itâs a problem
I donât think itâs a problem. Yes, mar is a negative word, so to speak, in [name_f]English[/name_f], but I donât really know very many people who even use it in everyday conversation. Plus, other than bored elementary school students, who is evaluating other peopleâs initials anyway? lol
MAR as initials isnt anything to lose sleep over.
A bear mars.
But kids will most likely think of the planet [name_u]Mars[/name_u] first.
Mqar is too many names for me personally
I donât think MAR would be that bad at all. It actually means âseaâ in Spanish.
Mar isnât a word you hear every day so I wouldnât sweat it too much! Not like the initials are B.A.D. or a swear word.
i think of the spanish meaning before the english one (english is my 1st language whereas spanish is my 3rd)
Btw I think people are more likely to ever use the past tense âmarredâ, i.e. âthe paintingâs quality was marred by the rainâ, rather than the present tense âmarâ⌠I canât even think of an example for that that sounds causal. The word is rare regardless. I think of the sea first, like maritime, or Spanish mar.
When I look at the initials MAR I donât think of anything bad
I only think of the sea actually which isnât bad AT ALL
I donât think it is at all consequential.
Mar is fine. It is a verb that means the above, but it also is the latin root for âseaâ.
My Initials are MAR and this literally never occurred to me. Wouldnât worry about it
Thank you!!!
