Marco Lars

I’ve recently thought of the name [name_m]Marco[/name_m] [name_m]Lars[/name_m]. I don’t mean used as a first and middle but as two first names. I heard of both of those names from two different book series I love. I was thinking his nickname could be [name_u]Mars[/name_u]. It sounds so cute to me, especially since it’s the name of the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] god of war. I love mythology, so that is just perfect for me. What do you guys think of it? I’m worried it will sound like a really weird combination of names to people around me because neither of those names are common at all where I live. Is the nickname [name_u]Mars[/name_u] usable? Is the name itself useable?

[name_u]Mars[/name_u] is definitely usable, both as a nickname and as a full name, as long as the middle name is more traditional! I actually know of people who go by the nickname [name_u]Mars[/name_u], not because it’s related to their first name, just because they think it sounds handsome, which it does.
I’m personally not a fan of having two first names. It’s just confusing to me? [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t quite get it. You could get the nickname [name_u]Mars[/name_u] from [name_m]Marco[/name_m] (first name) [name_m]Lars[/name_m] (middle name) ____ (surname).
There is a bit of a culture clash with the two names. [name_m]Marco[/name_m] I’d imagine on someone from Spain/Portugal or from Southern [name_u]America[/name_u], whereas [name_m]Lars[/name_m] feels more Germanic/Nordic. Again, I think they work, but it’d be less noticable if they weren’t both one first name.
Good luck!

@emmievis Thanks so much! That’s a good suggestion with having [name_m]Lars[/name_m] as a middle. I wasn’t sure about two first names either.

[name_m]Marco[/name_m] [name_m]Lars[/name_m] as a first and middle are great and I love the nn [name_u]Mars[/name_u]:slight_smile:

@greyblue Thanks!
