Is [name_f]Maren[/name_f] becoming overused?
What are your thoughts on it?
Does [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] flow well? I know [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a common filler, but its my sister’s first name. [name_f]My[/name_f] other sister is [name_f]Jessica[/name_f]. [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Jessica[/name_f]? [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Jessa[/name_f]?
If you had to choose between [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], which would you go with and why?
It’s right outside the top 500 in the US, and in no other top 1000 so I definitely wouldn’t call it overused. I do see it becoming more popular eventually, but I doubt it’ll ever be a top 100 name, or at least not anytime soon.
I think it’s a lovely, sleek name with a unique sound.
I like [name_f]Maren[/name_f] more than [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], though both are pretty. [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] sounds better to me than [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Jessica[/name_f]/Jessa.
I’ve only met one [name_f]Maren[/name_f] about 6 years ago now and she was a teenager. I’ve never even heard of any others, so definitely not overused
I think [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is gorgeous. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] may be considered a “filler” name at times but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use it if it has value to you. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a very common “filler” middle but it’s also my mother’s name and I would use it honor her regardless of others’ opinions. Many of us grew up with the same middles and it’s actually kinda fun to “grouped” in that way. I also think a classic like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] balances out the unique [name_f]Maren[/name_f] better than [name_f]Jessica[/name_f].
I would definitely go with [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! I much prefer [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] on a boy. [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_f]Maren[/name_f] would actually make lovely siblings imo!
The only [name_f]Maren[/name_f] I ever met was actually short for [name_f]Maranatha[/name_f]. It was a great name. I don’t think it’s overused at all. [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is lovely. I would vote for it over [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] although that’s nice too, mostly because unisex names are less my style. If you wanted to honor both sisters, [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Jessa[/name_f] sounds nice to me.
I have met a Meryn once, decades ago, and otherwise no one with this name, so it isn’t overused to me. I could imagine it taking off soon with [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_m]Morris[/name_m] in the public eye. I definitely prefer [name_f]Maren[/name_f] to [name_u]Marian[/name_u] - you might also like [name_f]Marina[/name_f].
I agree with PPs that [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] sounds great and I prefer it to [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], which for the record I don’t mind.
Maren is great, though I also like [name_u]Marian[/name_u]!
[name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is lovely!
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] just feels a little too modern and trendy next to [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] for my liking, but it’s a great combo too!
I had [name_f]Marina[/name_f] on my list not too long ago, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get my husband on board with it.
I think I like [name_f]Maren[/name_f] better than [name_u]Marian[/name_u], too…especially next to [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Finn[/name_u]) and [name_u]Piper[/name_u].
I love the name [name_f]Maren[/name_f]! I find it to be just unique enough without feeling too unique. I would use it over [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] partly because I like it more but also I know a lot of Rowans. I would have [name_f]Maren[/name_f] on my list however my husband is dead set on naming a future daughter (should we have one) [name_u]Merit[/name_u]. I think [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a beautiful option and love the pairing of a fresh feeling first name with a classic middle.
I really love [name_f]Maren[/name_f]! I know a [name_f]Marrin[/name_f] and she wears the name really well. She’s in her late twenties and she’s the only person I know with that name. I don’t think it’s too popular at all!
I love [name_f]Maren[/name_f]!! I don’t think it’s overused at all, I only know one [name_f]Marrin[/name_f]. I think it’s a really pretty name
Maren [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] definitely flows well, and I love that you’re honoring a sister with it. As someone else said, if you want to honor both sisters, you could go for [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Jessa[/name_f]. I agree with them that it flows very well!! I’m a big fan of two middle names anyway because I have two myself lol.
I love the name [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_u]Marian[/name_u] too, but [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is just so nice I’d have to choose [name_f]Maren[/name_f] in this case!!
Maren [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is beautiful. I don’t understand how [name_f]Maren[/name_f] can be so similar to [name_f]Karen[/name_f] while being entirely different.
Aaaah! I love both [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Jessa[/name_f]! I slightly prefer [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Jessa[/name_f] though.
And I prefer [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] over [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I also like [name_u]Marian[/name_u] over [name_f]Maren[/name_f], and [name_u]Marion[/name_u] over that, but in this context, [name_f]Maren[/name_f] works best. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
I love [name_f]Maren[/name_f]! I’ve never met one and don’t see it overly mentioned on here. [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is lovely
I can’t see how [name_f]Maren[/name_f] can become overused, it’s currently not popular.
I think it’s pretty and has a nice sound. Feminine without being frilly.
[name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] flows well.
[name_f]Maren[/name_f] is more my style (prefer [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] on a boy) so I’d go with [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
Maren [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is lovely. I don’t think that [name_f]Maren[/name_f] is popular at all. [name_u]Marian[/name_u] is also a great name, & even less popular. I think that [name_f]Maren[/name_f] is a little bit sportier & sleeker. [name_u]Marian[/name_u] is a little more sweet & vintage feeling. I much prefer either [name_f]Maren[/name_f] or [name_u]Marian[/name_u] to [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] is very masculine in my opinion, & getting a bit popular for both boys & girls. [name_f]Maren[/name_f] has that not so frilly feeling that [name_f]Maren[/name_f] does, but it still is just feminine enough.
