Margaret Mae

[name_m]Just[/name_m] wanted some feedback on the name [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. I realise that [name_f]Mae[/name_f] itself can be a nickname for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], but I really like it as a name in its own right. My husband is not a huge fan, and prefers [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (which I’m having trouble committing to as [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] was a family dog name).

Thanks in advance!

Whenever I hear a name that starts with an M and has [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as the middle name I immediately think of [name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] Whovier from the Grinch, haha.

Other than that, which I’m sure no one else thinks of, I like [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is not really my style, but there’s nothing wrong with it being a MN for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], imo.

Good luck!

It does feel a little redundant to me, but if I forget about [name_f]Mae[/name_f] being a nn for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], I quite like the sound and the alliteration.

I agree that it does sound redundant but it’s an ok combo.

I think [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is a lovely choice.

It’s absolutely perfect! [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is one of my favs, and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] adds so much sweetness to it.
