Margaret nn Margot + Suggestions!

Sooo now that we know we are having a girl (expecting in February) we’re getting more serious about names. I really, really like [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], nickname [name_f]Margot[/name_f] (t is negotiable). DH likes it but is definitely less sold on it than I am. I like the classic, timeless full name with the possibility of a spunky nickname that is familiar to people but still not popular or trendy. I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] for the same reasons but DH isn’t a fan because it’s still such a common name (like #10 vs. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]'s 170). The only bone I have with it is our last name starts with an M and I’m not wild about the alliteration…

Thoughts??!

Here’s what I’ve seriously considered so far and I would love any advice or additional suggestions!

For middle names we’re doing two and I’d like one to be an homage to my sister and great grandmother who are named [name_f]Emily[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. So I like:

[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f]

For the second middle name I’m open but want something short and kind of whimsical. I like:

[name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_u]Lake[/name_u]
[name_u]March[/name_u]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Margo/name_f on its own. [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is also very cute!

I also like [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] as a middle name and if you need two then I also like [name_u]Lake[/name_u] it cuts up the two girly names :slight_smile:

I don’t have combo suggestions to add, but I just wanted to say you have a great list of names. ([name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] is on my own list.) I love the suggestions above.
