I love your name choices! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you plan on calling [name_f]Frances[/name_f] just-[name_f]Frances[/name_f] or [name_u]Frankie[/name_u]? That would help me imagine the full situation.

Initial thought - would you consider [name_f]Cecile[/name_f]? That gives you two-syllables and I think ‘matches’ [name_f]Frances[/name_f] better.

I love [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] but [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is so ugly, I really dont get why there’s such hype about it. I do love [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] though, but slightly prefer [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]

[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] gets my vote. Cecoly is a gorgeous name.

I voted [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]. I really like [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].

I dislike [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] as a first though, I like [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] though.

Schikler, we plan on usually using just [name_f]Frances[/name_f] or [name_f]Francie[/name_f], maybe [name_f]Franny[/name_f] or [name_u]Frankie[/name_u].

In that case, I voted for [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]. [name_f]Frances[/name_f] & [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] or [name_f]Franny[/name_f] and [name_f]Cece[/name_f], are an adorable set.

Both names work in the sibset but I prefer [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] “[name_f]Maisie[/name_f].”

[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]! I love [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] - [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] has been growing on me of late but I can’t love it - I really truly respect and admire it and I would even use it myself and it is on my list but always with a certain emotional distance - I feel more attached to the nns.
[name_f]IMO[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is just as classic. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] and [name_f]Frances[/name_f] are perfect sibset.
On the other hand, (and this isn’t very helpful of me, sorry!), [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] has more nicknames so if your daughter wanted to be [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], or [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] when she grew up or [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] at home but [name_f]Margo[/name_f] at work she would have lots of options.
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] or [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] are both great names. Out of curiosity what are the middle names or the other two girls?

Hannahloulou, [name_f]Rose[/name_f]‘s full name is [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and we’ve decided that [name_f]Frances[/name_f]’ full name will be [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Viola[/name_f], although I said we had decided on [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] in another thread (we obviously have a hard time making up our minds!).

Also, just a question for the people who chose [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]: [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think the multiple “s” sounds in both [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] are too much for siblings, but you like [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] more than [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]? Or does it not bother you and you think the names sound good together?

[name_f]Frances[/name_f] already has two “ess” sounds! To say [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] and [name_f]Frances[/name_f] together sounds too sibilant, like a hiss, to me. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is a lovely name, and I think that [name_f]Meg[/name_f], [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds classic and sophisticated. For something sweeter, [name_f]Greta[/name_f] might do. [name_f]Greta[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_f]Frances[/name_f] is pretty. Or, to fix the sibilance, try [name_f]Celia[/name_f]. If you don’t like [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_f]Frances[/name_f], you could try [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Frances[/name_f], or [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] would be nice, too.

I voted for [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is too heavy and still has a very “old lady” vibe, rather than the less commonly heard [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] or [name_f]Frances[/name_f]. And [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is sophisticated, too (someone said something to the contrary about this, can’t remember exactly what)–it’s also a name from the British royal family.

I prefer [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and think it actually does go better with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Frances[/name_f]. Although [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is a classic, she didn’t really dip in popularity as much as [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Frances[/name_f] did and therefore feels a lot less fresh. Like aread sort of said, she’s classic, but not vintage. To me, [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] has that vintage-fresh feel that your other girls’ names have. She conjures up images of [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] illustrations and medieval queens!

I am going to go against the grain here and say that I much prefer [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. I don’t mind the name [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], but it sounds a bit “hissy-y” to me (ssess-ssily) with [name_u]Francis[/name_u].
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] has so much history and depth to it, which is nicely matched by [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I think it is a really solid choice.

What a pretty name [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is, my next LO will be a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] if a girl, middle names for [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are a killer. Have you got anywhere with your dilemma or moved on to another name entirely? (I am currently having strange crush on [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]).
