Hello berries, I’m loving [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], which is my biological grandma’s name, with nns [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]/[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]/[name_f]Maisy[/name_f]. But is it too ‘out-dated’? Or should it be used as a middle name.
Here are the combinations that I like:
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] as a name! If you’re worried about it sounding too dated (which by the way, I think it’s fine) how about [name_f]Margot[/name_f]? I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] sounds nice and somewhat more modern than [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is a true classic and will never be outdated. It makes a beautiful first name and loses some of it’s charm in my eyes when hidden away in the middle.
I think your combinations are great! My favorite being [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. It’s not the most unexpected combo but [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] in the middle has more appeal to me personally.
I agree with pp! [name_f]Margot[/name_f] seems like an elegant, glamourous and more modern alternative. I prefer [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] out of your options, [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] seems a bit plain to me.
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is a beautiful name! I’ve recently fallen in love with it and I definitely want to use it as a first or middle name for a daughter if I ever have one. I don’t think it sounds dated at all, it’s a sweet, classic, vintage name that would age well and isn’t as common as some other names of the same style. Not to mention all the cute nicknames it offers! [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] or [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] are such pretty combos!
I’m not a fan of the name [name_f]Margot[/name_f], since a lot people keep mentioning it that it looks like the word magot…and I think of [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_u]Green[/name_u]'s Paper Town [name_f]Margot[/name_f], which I’m not a big fan of that character. But thank you for the suggestion!
I love the suggestions of; [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f](even though this is practically my name, lol). Thank you!
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is gorgeous! Another idea is [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. I don’t see [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] as dated at all. I actually know quite a few young Margarets, as well as Margarets of all ages. It is a timeless classic and your nickname choices keep it fresh.
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is my favorite classic girls’ name! I don’t find it dated at all, it’s timeless. And it’s the name with the most nicknames, so it’s really versatile even if the full name itself was dated!
I’d pick a sweet and maybe a bit romantic middle with it. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Endellion[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] etc.
