Which do you prefer: [name_f]Margery[/name_f] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]? I am just curious about these spellings, though I also like [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] and even [name_f]Marjory[/name_f].
I think of the 2 with those spellings I like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] . I love the [name_u]Nick[/name_u] name potential too. [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] is so sweet !
I much prefer the [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] spelling to margery .
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] > [name_f]Marjory[/name_f] > [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] > [name_f]Margery[/name_f]
[name_f]Margery[/name_f] looks like margarine sadly
I much, much prefer [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. Itās strong and whimsical and I adore the [name_m]Roald[/name_m] Dahl association.
Spelling-wise, I probably like [name_f]Marjory[/name_f] best.
Technically, I like the name [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] more, but I also quite like [name_f]Margery[/name_f]. I associate this spelling with [name_f]Margaery[/name_f] [name_m]Tyrell[/name_m] from GoT. Not an association that will last forever and I donāt even think many will remember/know now, I just do because I really liked the character (hence I actually prefer it over Marjory/Marjorie).
Matilda! I adore this name!
With this spelling, definitely prefer [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] though Iām not a fan of the name (Love [name_f]Tilda[/name_f] though - itās on my list). Prefer [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] to both of them.
Absolutely adore [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]! Itās bright, strong, characterful and still feels a little quirky to me despite its popularity where I live. I love the connection to the [name_m]Roald[/name_m] Dahl character, who is a great role model for any girl.
[name_f]Margery[/name_f] is a good future vintage revival candidate but itās still feeling very āold ladyā to me for now, plus it does remind me of margarine.
Matilda!! [name_u]Bright[/name_u], strong and lovely
I prefer [name_f]Margery[/name_f], but much prefer the [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] spelling !
I think Iām gonna have to go with [name_f]Margery[/name_f]! I think itās due for a huge comeback. I really like the name and I would totally be considering it if I didnāt have a bad association, itās just stunning. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is nice but itās become quite predictable.
Out of these two, I really like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. [name_f]Margery[/name_f] is a really sweet name though!
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]!
matilda is much preferred in my mind! if youāre going to choose the other, use the marjorie/marjory story. margery/marge/etc. seems too aged to be ācute vintaageā quite yet.
I wish I had had the opportunity to use [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], so [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] all the way.
[name_f]Margery[/name_f], though I love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Margery[/name_f] is my favorite
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] seems more current. And I think itās beautiful
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]! I love [name_u]Mattie[/name_u], [name_f]Tillie[/name_f] & [name_f]Tilda[/name_f] as nicknames!
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is lovely! [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] could be a cute nickname for [name_f]Margery[/name_f] though.
Iām a [name_f]Margery[/name_f] fan. I like the [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] spelling the best but they all work in my book.
