[name]Hi[/name] Again,
Still searching for the perfect family name should our next little bundle of joy be a girl. I was wondering, should we use the name [name]Margaret[/name], nn [name]Margo[/name], or just use [name]Margo[/name] b/c that is what we intend to call her. Please take into consideration she would be joining a big brother named [name]Harold[/name] who goes by the nn [name]Hal[/name]. Thoughts and opinions are read and appreciated.
Thanks so much!
I love [name]Margaret[/name], nn [name]Margo[/name]. Then she would have the option of going by [name]Margaret[/name] when she gets older, if she preferred. [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Harold[/name], [name]Margo[/name] and [name]Hal[/name]. Great sibset.
I too like [name]Margaret[/name], a lovely name, and [name]Margot[/name] (and I like the traditional spelling, too,) as a nickname.
As a [name]Margaret[/name], I’m obviously biased.
I love both names though, and I think using [name]Margaret[/name] with [name]Margo[/name] as a nn is the best solution here!
Personally, I think you should name her what she will be called. I [name]LOVE[/name] both names! I really adore [name]Margaret[/name].
I really like [name]Margot[/name]. [name]Margaret[/name] is okay, but it doesn’t have the same spark as [name]Margot[/name].
I like [name]Margo[/name]; it’s goes well with [name]Hal[/name]
Personally, I like [name]Margo[/name] better. But if you’re having trouble deciding between the two, go with [name]Margaret[/name]. You can always use [name]Margo[/name] as a nickname! Good luck!
Generally I would say plain [name]Margo[/name], but since your son has a more substantial full name and then an irreverent nickname, I’d say you should do the same with your daughter and go with [name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Margo[/name]. [name]Harold[/name] and [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Hal[/name] and [name]Margo[/name] match perfectly.
My thoughts exactly.
