Please help us pick a name for our little girl who’s due any day now! Big sister is Juniper “Junie” Grace.
Margot: cute, fun nickname options, common but not too common (or is it?) Violet: timeless, classic but cute, February’s flower; no obvious nickname options (and I’m a sucker for nicknames!) Willow: husband keeps coming back to this one; not sure I love the idea of two girls named after trees, though I do like the name; also, it’s fairly popular Phoebe: I keep coming back to this one; good meaning; cool connections (moon, bird/botanical, literary, etc.); still somewhat unique in the U.S.; husband worries about spelling and pronunciation probs and ppl constantly being reminded of Phoebe from Friends.

It has a similar cadence to [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], and they make such a sweet pair.
I do like [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] as well, which has almost exactly the same components as [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (botanical name + virtue name). Perhaps that might make them almost a touch too similar…? [name_u]Or[/name_u] maybe that’s a good thing, as they’re nicely complementary!

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_u]Willow[/name_u] are nature words and such springy, standout sounds like [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], I love them! Next would be [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and then [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] vote went to [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] – [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is just the right amount of quirky without being too out-there, and goes magnificently with sister [name_u]Juniper[/name_u].
Seconding @Sunniva! I had a hard time deciding - they are all gorgeous and sound like sisters to [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. I just like how [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] matches the level of unique/slight quirkiness of [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] (especially here in the states).
[name_f]Margot[/name_f], I adore! The repeating “o” of [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] isn’t my most favorite.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] is sweet! I just prefer the other names.
If [name_u]Willow[/name_u] were [name_f]Willa[/name_f], I think I’d like it better.

I prefer [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] to [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], I think phoebes flow is much better… I also dont only associate [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] with the show unlike chandler

There’s also [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] as nicknames.
