[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] is gorgeous. It feels like a kaleidescope of bright colours, reds and purples and turquoises and golds. I picture a woman wildly dancing, with long curly hair, wearing a shimmering gown with many colours, hair and fabric flying about. I can see the sun setting over the canals of [name_f]Venice[/name_f] ([name_f]Venice[/name_f] because of [name_f]Venetia[/name_f], but it could be somewhere else too), the sky all blue and pink and purple, boats quietly moored waiting for the next day when they go out again.

Thank you so much! I love your imagery! [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] does indeed speak of [name_f]Venice[/name_f] to me, but I think of an icy, frozen [name_f]Venice[/name_f], with creamy white colonnaded cathedrals (contradictory, I know!) rising behind. [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] is much warmer and rounder - more autumnal and rose-pink - and with her, [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] seems more like pale green glass, perhaps a vase, with Venetian blue waters and colourful houses reflected in its curved side. Or something.

I thought of [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] first, but have been trying out [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] with [name_f]Mariam[/name_f] (which is deep mazarine wave-blue, a white and gold Middle eastern port with turbans and golden sands). The blue and pale green goes well, I think; but I think I like [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] slightly better! I also really like [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] Coppelia, which is copper-coloured and flame-haired, and has the round, warm feel of [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] in contrast to [name_f]Venetia[/name_f]'s icy regal beauty.

Thanks again for your input!

Any more thoughts?

I would go with [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]. If [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] were an option, I would choose that.
