I saw a video of Marianela Núñez, an Argentinian ballerina, dancing yesterday and I’m stuck on the melodicism of her name. I love reading the lists of dancers in a ballet company, there are always so many goodies ([name_m]Thiago[/name_m], [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], [name_f]Rowena[/name_f], [name_f]Zenaida[/name_f], [name_u]Romany[/name_u], [name_m]Alastair[/name_m]).
The name Marianela is a bit frillier than I tend to go for… But I think it fits with some longer NB favorites like [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] (too on the nose?), [name_f]Corisande[/name_f], [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], and [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f].
Thoughts?

It’s not bad! I like the nickname [name_f]Nell[/name_f] that it could give you, which fits the vibe of your other names very well imo. Marianela as a full name feels a bit less dark academia and more cheerful and spring-like than your other favourites. That’s not necessarily bad though!
[name_f]My[/name_f] biggest ‘‘issue’’ with it is that I just want to say Marialena or Marilena instead when I see it.

I like Marianela! I would prefer it with a shorter middle name though.

It reminds me of marinara sauce, but otherwise it is fine. Marienela I like better because it reduces the tomato association for me.

Marianela is a lovely name, and I like the ballet connection.
I think it would sound beautiful in a Spanish/Latin accent, but less nice in mine.

I think it’s really pretty when said in her accent! It reminds me of [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] as well, which is a positive for me.
