Trying to find names to honor grandmas [name_f]Mary[/name_f] + [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]… do you think [name_f]Marisa[/name_f] works?
How would you pronounce? Any other thoughts?
Would likely use as a middle…
I think it works! I say it as Muh-riss-uh and I’ve only heard it pronounced that way. It’s a nice name, similar to [name_f]Melissa[/name_f].
It works! I would pronounce it as [name_f]Marissa[/name_f] (muh-RISS-uh), but I could see it as muh-REE-suh also
That’s a genius idea! [name_f]Marisa[/name_f] is perfect.
Marisa works really well! Creative and interesting. I’d pronounce it muh-rees-uh
Definitely works! All the [name_f]Marisa[/name_f]’s I know pronounce it muh-REES-uh, but frequently get called [name_f]Marissa[/name_f].
Yes, I was hoping for the ma-[name_u]Rees[/name_u]-ah pronunciation!
Oh, now that I know it’s Muh-rees-uh, I think it’s a perfect honor name!
I think it works well. Since it will be a middle name, you won’t have to worry about people pronouncing it wrong. People will see the first name written out, but probably won’t know the middle name unless you tell them.
I think [name_f]Marisa[/name_f] works perfectly as an honor name for a [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and a [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]! I would say muh-REE-suh.
Marisa is a long term fave of mine. Would be a lovely way to honor those two people.
When I was little, I named my water baby (toy doll) [name_f]Marisa[/name_f].
