I voted for [name]Mark[/name] but I’m seriously biased as I have a son [name]Mark[/name] already. I really like that it’s not too popular at the moment. We also have a 2-syllable last name. Interestingly I’m really stuck picking between [name]Jude[/name] and [name]Andrew[/name] if this next baby is a boy. Since it seems that we might have similar taste in names I’ll mention that I also have a son [name]Paul[/name].

[name]Lovely[/name] to see you considering these handsome names. I chose [name]Andrew[/name] but his brother could easily be [name]Mark[/name] and “lo” love your choice of [name]Paul[/name].

Oo, [name]Jude[/name] is a great name. And we would totally do [name]Paul[/name] if our last name didn’t start with an L.

Those pesky last names. We’d love to pick [name]Thomas[/name] if our last name wasn’t [name]Tyson[/name].

I love the name [name]Mark[/name]! What nickname (if any) would you use for [name]Andrew[/name]? [name]Andy[/name]? [name]Drew[/name]?

For [name]Andrew[/name], I can see [name]Andy[/name] being really cute for a little boy and [name]Drew[/name] being fun for a high school/college boy. Or do you have to be cool to pull off “[name]Drew[/name]?” If baby boy takes after his parents, he will be short and nerdy. Is that a deal-breaker for “[name]Drew[/name]”?

LOL, not at all! I can actually picture a short and nerdy boy being a [name]Drew[/name] rather than [name]Andy[/name] I know 3 boys/men named [name]Drew[/name]. The 40 year old I know is incredibly well liked. He is a little quiet and introverted, but he has a heart of gold. He is an amazing father, too. The other [name]Drew[/name] I know went to school with me. He is very smart and kind of nerdy (he calls himself a band geek even at age 30), but he is also one of the funniest guys I know. He was one of those guys in school that all the girls had a crush on, but he never knew it…and would have been too shy, anyway. He has always had a very nerdy charm to him.
The 3rd [name]Drew[/name] I know is 2 years old and cute as can be. He has tons of energy and is “all boy”, yet still blows kisses to everyone he meets…he is such a sweetheart. I know several [name]Andy[/name]'s as well, but I won’t continue my descriptive novel, LOL.

So I really like both nicknames, and I think they both age quite well (I do know a few adults named [name]Andy[/name], and a young boy that goes by [name]Drew[/name]). I think between the two I like the nn [name]Drew[/name] much more, but mainly because I have such positive associations with the name. [name]Andrew[/name] [name]David[/name] is a great name!

gigi22, thanks for sharing! I don’t know any Drews personally, but the group you know warm my heart!
