Which one do you like better in general? As a brother to [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]? I feel like I am constantly switching back and forth between which one I prefer, so some outside opinions would be helpful.
Thank you!

Thank you!
I prefer [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. [name_m]Mark[/name_m] feels more dated, while [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is a name that is always appealing.
I like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] with the sib set, but [name_m]Mark[/name_m] isn’t as used. I haven’t met a little [name_m]Mark[/name_m] come to think of it!
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] feels younger to me.
Definitely [name_m]Jack[/name_m]!
I like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] more, but it’s becoming very popular. [name_m]Mark[/name_m] sounds nice with the other names.
I like [name_m]Mark[/name_m] with your others. Plus [name_m]Jack[/name_m] has too many ways you can use it to tease a little boy, that is what turned me off about [name_m]Jack[/name_m] when I was considering it.
I love both of these names, and I would have been going back and forth a few weeks ago, but recently, I have really been loving [name_m]Jack[/name_m]!
I wouldn’t use [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_m]Jack[/name_m] as brother names because they both end with “ck” and that would bug the heck out of me, so my pick is [name_m]Mark[/name_m], which I like more than [name_m]Jack[/name_m] anyway. [name_m]Jack[/name_m] feels a little too casual next to [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] as well, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I prefer [name_m]Jack[/name_m] to [name_m]Mark[/name_m] but I’m not sure if either works with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. They both feel too short, a bit nickname-y or casual to me. I’m also not keen on [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] sharing the same ending. What about [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] or [name_m]Marcus[/name_m]? That way you can still use [name_m]Jack[/name_m] or [name_m]Mark[/name_m] as nn’s. I really like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_m]Marcus[/name_m].
Thanks everyone! I figured I would get more love for [name_m]Jack[/name_m] over [name_m]Mark[/name_m], but am really surprised at just how much [name_m]Jack[/name_m]'s the preference. Interesting. Lot to think about.
I’m glad others brought about the endings of [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_m]Jack[/name_m], because that was bothering me too and I didn’t know if I was just being crazy or not, haha
I would only SLIGHTLY consider using [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], but [name_m]Marcus[/name_m] is a definite no. I prefer [name_m]Jack[/name_m] or [name_m]Mark[/name_m] AGES over [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] and [name_m]Marcus[/name_m] at the end of the day, so I’d like to stick with just the short versions.
Although I prefer the spunky [name_m]Jack[/name_m] as a name, I think [name_m]Mark[/name_m] would be the best option with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]/[name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_u]Pat[/name_u] are just too similar in sound for my comfort level.
I agree with [name_u]Mischa[/name_u]. [name_m]Mark[/name_m] is the best choice with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m].
I adore [name_m]Jack[/name_m]… but [name_m]Mark[/name_m] might be a better choice with [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m].
[name_m]Mark[/name_m] isn’t ready for a comeback, [name_m]Jack[/name_m] sounds pretty timeless to me. I do think [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is a little short for brothers [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] but maybe it’s just me.
I usually prefer [name_m]Jack[/name_m], but [name_m]Mark[/name_m] is handsome and getting less attention these days. [name_m]Jack[/name_m] feels a bit informal to me next to [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m], whereas [name_m]Mark[/name_m] feels more complete. Plus [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] share both the a sound and the -ck. For these reasons, I like [name_m]Mark[/name_m] with the sibset.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]! I love [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. I don’t care for [name_m]Mark[/name_m] at all, but [name_m]Marcus[/name_m] is cool. [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] are lovely together.
I may be a little biased as my husband is [name_m]Mark[/name_m], but I love it, as does he, and so my vote goes to [name_m]Mark[/name_m]
It’s a name that everyone has heard, and everyone can spell, yet not one that every other kid will have. It has a certain charm, and isn’t easily teased (my husband has never been teased for it). I love it.
When I was growing up there was only one boy I knew who was named [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and I thought it was hopelessly old fashioned then, his brother was [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] which was much more modern and in vogue; at the time [name_m]John[/name_m] was a very popular name so with [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] I would not go with [name_m]Jack[/name_m] I would prefer [name_m]John[/name_m] or even more [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] for sibling to [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m].
[name_m]Mark[/name_m] was like the 70’s [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] so I feel it needs a little more time to ‘cool’ down before it comes back even though it is a nice name, maybe five years from now it will be good to go?
