Marlowe or Molly? Past due date!

So I told my husband if I went past my due date and our baby was a [name_f]Libra[/name_f] that I would consider his favorite name for our daughter ([name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]) as apposed to [name_f]Molly[/name_f] which I felt was more of a Virgo. Now I find myself 3 days late and having a [name_f]Libra[/name_f]. So should I follow through and name her [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] or stick with the name [name_f]Molly[/name_f]? I do like the name [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] (NN Lowie) but get mixed opinions on the name whenever I bring it up…but I guess I get the same with [name_f]Molly[/name_f]. Im just hormonal at this point and dont know anymore! HELP! lol

Thank you for your opinion!

I prefer [name_f]Molly[/name_f]. That being said, since you’re past due you could just wait to meet her to decide.

I like [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] nn Lowie! Sooo cute!

Personally I don’t think a star sign makes much difference to a name. That said I like both names but would probably go for [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u].

I like [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] has a better lifelong feel to it. [name_f]Molly[/name_f] is cute, but it feels like the majority of their life they will have a “cute” name and it only seems fitting for a small child or an older lady.

I like [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] better. I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Molly[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Molly[/name_f], but [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] has it’s own charm. They’re both totally different styles so it’s harder to compare and see which one is better for you. Lowie is really cute! Perhaps it may be a bit of a stretch, but maybe [name_f]Molly[/name_f] could make it as a nickname for [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] too? Another option could be to use one or the other as a first and vice versa. I think [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] [name_f]Molly[/name_f] would have the best flow although it does sound like a bit of a mouthful. That way you could compromise and use [name_f]Molly[/name_f] again as a nickname.

I really love [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]! <3

I prefer [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u].

I like [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]!

Too funny - I’m a Virgo named [name_f]Molly[/name_f] and it does kind of feel like a Virgo name now that you mention it. More generally, I have always thought of [name_f]Molly[/name_f] as a fallish name, though [name_f]Libra[/name_f] works too in that case.

Like someone else said, the names are dissimilar enough that it’s hard for me to compare. I do like them both a lot. I’d be more surprised to meet a [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u], but it also might get a few more negative reactions. But it works fine for [name_f]Marlo[/name_f] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], and I love that you chose the spelling with a literary reference. [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] nn [name_f]Mali[/name_f] (sounds almost like [name_f]Molly[/name_f]) is a 2-for-one option.

I think [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is more of a [name_f]Libra[/name_f] name. For what it’s worth, if she ends up being a nickname kind of girl, [name_f]Molly[/name_f] seems like a perfectly logical nickname for [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] (it started as a nickname for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], after all, and [name_f]Molly[/name_f] is much closer to [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] than [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]!), so I’d go with [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] as a compromise (and maybe use [name_f]Molly[/name_f] as your own sweet name for her?) You really win either way!

I like [name_f]Molly[/name_f] much better, regardless of sign.

I love [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]! It’s always been one of my favorite names for a girl. With that being said, I really don’t think the star sign matters that much lol.

I’m a libra and I prefer [name_f]Molly[/name_f] but I think [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is more unique.

I prefer [name_f]Molly[/name_f], however, i don’t think the mixed reactions should stop you from using [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u], if you like it.

I like [name_f]Molly[/name_f] much better. I know a [name_f]Molly[/name_f] in her late thirties and I think it ages just fine.

I’m not a fan of [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u].

I like [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] better, you could even use the nn [name_u]Marley[/name_u] which SOUNDS like [name_f]Molly[/name_f] kind of!
