Martha?

What does everyone think of the name [name]Martha[/name]? So far it seems to be the only name DH is remotely interested in. Full name would be [name]Martha[/name] [name]Jacquline[/name] [name]Hodge[/name].

I like [name]Martha[/name] - It’s not too common but not weird or hard to spell/pronounce. I think [name]Martha[/name] [name]Jacquline[/name] is cute.

My name is [name]Martha[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. (My twin sister and I were named after our grandmothers.) It is distinctive and easy for everyone to spell and pronounce. [name]Martha[/name] is in the top 100 in the UK, so it may start creeping up the charts in the U.S. sooner or later.

Since your surname is one syllable, [name]Martha[/name] sounds best with a three-syllable middle name. I like your choice of [name]Jacqueline[/name]. [name]Martha[/name] [name]Jacqueline[/name] is a great combo!

Wow, [name]Martha[/name] is making a comeback!!??! The women I have known or met named [name]Martha[/name] are all older, except where I lived in [name]Africa[/name], where baby girls are still being named [name]Malita[/name], their form of [name]Martha[/name]. I think it would be adorable on a baby/little girl. [name]Jacqueline[/name] works well with [name]Martha[/name], I’d say.

Thanks all :). [name]Jacquline[/name] is my first name, so that’s where we got that from

[name]Love[/name] it…the combo is nice, too.

I think of [name]Martha[/name] [name]Stewart[/name]. For me, its not quite old enough to be fresh again. It’s a popular name for my mom’s generation so it puts me off a bit. However, I do love both the bible and [name]Martha[/name] [name]Washington[/name] connections. I also agree that [name]Martha[/name] [name]Jacquline[/name] [name]Hodge[/name] is very well put together as a whole.

I like [name]Martha[/name]! I think it’s straightforward and historical, yet unusual and a little bit spunky. When a character in [name]Gilmore[/name] Girls named her baby [name]Martha[/name], I thought it was so sweet. [name]Martha[/name] [name]Jacqueline[/name] [name]Hodge[/name] sounds fab!

It’s a little bit Old [name]West[/name] for me - like [name]Mattie[/name] ([name]Martha[/name]) from [name]True[/name] Grit. Also a bit the Kansas-dwelling [name]Martha[/name] [name]Kent[/name], Superman’s dear Ma.

I like it. It has a great and wonderful history to it, without being something you trip saying. And you don’t meet a little [name]Martha[/name] everyday.

Yes, a soft, feminine beautiful name, I really like [name]Martha[/name]. I live in the UK and I know of 2 [name]Matha[/name]'s born recently, and 2 of my friends both have it on their list so that’s a bit of a challenge for who gets the name! It’s one of the old fashioned names that has made a dramatic comeback and I do imagine becoming a little more popular in the US too.

I love [name]Martha[/name]. It’s a classic. And the combo you’ve decided on is lovely too.

It is my name and I love it! [name]Martha[/name] [name]Jacqueline[/name] is so pretty:-)

I think [name]Martha[/name] [name]Jacqueline[/name] H~~~~ sounds great. I also like how [name]Martha[/name] goes with [name]Levi[/name], both being biblical names. I guess I always kind of saw it as an older name, but that being said, my little sister’s best friend growing up was [name]Martha[/name], who is now a pretty 18-year-old, so it’s not unheard of, and I think that [name]Martha[/name] can certainly come back with the rest of the “Old Lady” names I’m loving like [name]Agatha[/name] and [name]Iris[/name].

I really like [name]Martha[/name]. I think of it as an underused timeless classic and I always love it when I (rarely) meet/hear of a [name]Martha[/name].
