Would it be bad for sisters to be named [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f]? The name [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is too tied to marijuana to be usable in my opinion, but I’m not sure about using the two separately for sibling names.
Would it be better if they were spread among more than two sisters (For example, instead of just two sisters named [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f], three sisters named [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Jane[/name_f])? Not pregnant yet- just thinking for the future.
I think [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would make good sisters! I don’t it would cause any problems. I don’t even think it’s necessary to have a sister between them.
The marijuana connection occurred to me immediately, the names might get poked fun at. But if you loved them maybe using the order “[name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f]” would lessen the association.
I didn’t think of the marijuana thing, and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] are definitely a good sibset, as they are the same type of name.
You might get a few people that tease/eyeball you or your girls if they immediately think “weed,” but I don’t think that’s a lot of people’s first thoughts.
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would make lovely sister names! I don’t even see a problem with using [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as one girl’s name- I know a woman with [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as a double first name, who goes by that (as opposed to just [name_f]Mary[/name_f]), and she wears it really well; it suits her spunky, creative personality. I wouldn’t have made the marijuana connection if you hadn’t mentioned it.
I do not think it is an issue. Especially the fact that it would be two different individuals with the names. [name_m]Even[/name_m] so, if you were to name a daughter [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], I would just think of Spiderman’s neighbor/crush not marijuana.
