Maryjane?

I came across this name in a book i was reading. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] have been on my list for a long time but I was never thought of them together. I’m aware this name may sound too old fashioned but i personally really like it. I’d love to hear your thoughts on [name_f]Maryjane[/name_f] <3 Too old fashioned? [name_u]Or[/name_u] ready for comeback?

I think [name_f]Maryjane[/name_f] is lovely, I know a Mary-Jane and it was very sweet on her as a little girl (she’s in her mid twenties now).

[name_f]My[/name_f] only hesitation would be the connection to marijuana :face_with_peeking_eye:

[name_f]Maryjane[/name_f] is sweet and pretty. I love double names and it reminds me of [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] from Spiderman. But i think it’s fine and is such a cute name.

I would prefer it written as: Mary-Jane.

I think it’s lovely if Mary-Jane or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (rather than smooshed), but I don’t think it’s usable due to an association already mentioned.

I love it, but I think of the shoes. I am innocent as f, never knew about the connection to… that

[name_u]Love[/name_u] Mary-Jane, and I personally don’t think the connection is that bad. It’s still a classic name, and depending on the person they could think of Spiderman or the shoes instead.

I really like the sound, but [name_f]Maryjane[/name_f] looks a little messy to me, I’d much prefer [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (first name, middle name) or at least Mary-Jane. I actually like the traditional/old fashioned vibes of it! Personally, while I know it can mean marijuana, I really don’t think it’s a big deal. It’s not the most horrible association in the world, and it’s one of the less common ways to refer to it.
