Hello! I’m looking for a name that relates to a deer, specifically the [name_f]Sika[/name_f] deer.
[name_f][/name_f]Another viable option is plum blossoms, because [name_f]Sika[/name_f] deer are called plum blossom deer in Chinese due to the way their spots look. Some of my initial ideas are Cervus, Kerama, or Yezu. The first is the genus, the second two are places subspecies of the deer can be found.
[name_f][/name_f]
I’d like the name to be androgynous or masculine sounding, but I’m open to traditionally feminine sounding names as well.
[name_f][/name_f]It can also be unique! This name will not need to fit a certain mold in any way.
[name_f][/name_f]I’d like the vibe of the name to be cool and calm, maybe with a bit of confidence. Sounding “fancy” or sophisticated is okay, too, I’m not worried about sounding pretentious with this one. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if it sounds silly or outrageous, it may be the perfect name to help me out.
[name_f][/name_f]
If anyone has any suggestions to contribute I’d be very, very grateful. Thank you.

A few ideas…
North / Northern (since ‘northern spotted deer’ is there other name)
Roscoe (“deer wood”)
Nox (since they’re usually nocturnal)
Lichao (“plum” + “to leap”)
Hirvo (means deer)
Jelimir (“famous/peaceful deer”)
Orkatz (means deer)
Dren (deer)
To elaborate on [name_m]Hart[/name_m], maybe [name_m]Hartigan[/name_m]? Although it maybe means son of [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f] so perhaps it might not feel right there.
[name_f][/name_f]This may be far too stretchy, but I was looking at [name_m]Deucalion[/name_m] earlier and the meaning of sweet might link to the plum nicely?
Is it possible for you to use [name_f]Sika[/name_f] as a name? I think it sounds quite nice actually as a name in its own right.
