Masculine or Feminine?

[name_u]ADair/name_u? Masculine or feminine? Middle name ideas as well?

Unisex, but maybe feminine if you consider the nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f].

I’ve only ever met one [name_u]Adair[/name_u] and it was a girl around 8-years-old. It looks masculine, but sounds feminine to me.

I look masculine, but sounds feminine… it would be one of those names where I wouldn’t know what to expect the person to look like.

[name_u]Adair[/name_u] is one of the few truly unisex names in my mind.

If I saw it written down I would assume girl. Especially spelt [name_u]Adaire[/name_u] ([name_u]Adair[/name_u] I suppose you could get away with on a boy)

To me [name_u]Adair[/name_u] sounds (and looks) masculine, and I’ve never actually heard it on anyone to make me think differently (so far).

To me, [name_u]Adair[/name_u] sounds more feminine. If you think it looks too masculine to you though, you can always use variations such as [name_u]Adaire[/name_u] or [name_f]Adaira[/name_f].

To me, [name_u]Adair[/name_u] would be the more masculine spelling, and [name_u]Adaire[/name_u] the more feminine.
Agreed with pp that it’s unisex though.
If somebody said ‘my friend [name_u]Adair[/name_u] said…’ I wouldn’t know what gender probably.
