My girls are [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].
The only boy name I’ve ever felt in love with is [name_m]Harvey[/name_m]. However, I feel that I gave the thought of using it up when I had an [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].
It irks me that all the girls have names so unique in sound, and [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] is similar to [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] not only in end sound but in the middle consonant.
What do you think? Would you pair [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] with these sisters? If not, what boy name do you think is the PERFECT caboose to these girls?
I think [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] is too similar to [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], although it’s a nice name. Here are some suggestions for names that would go well with your sibset:
If I were you would it annoy me that [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] share a last syllable? In this moment, yes. But they’re not so similar it’ll cause any sort of confusion. I think parents loving a name is the most important criteria so if [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] is the name you love most, use it. It’s a great name. Once he’s a few months old, it’ll seem his name so naturally you’ll barely even notice it’s similar ending to your daughter’s name. Other ideas:
[name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Orson[/name_m]
[name_m]Otis[/name_m]
[name_m]Otto[/name_m]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]
[name_m]Sylvester[/name_m]
[name_m]Fletcher[/name_m]
[name_m]Booker[/name_m]
I do love [name_u]Arlo[/name_u]. I think [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] has quite the ring to it.
Also love [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and [name_m]Milo[/name_m]!
I do think [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] is close to [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], but if you love, I’d say use it rather than have name regret about it. Is moving it to a middle name spot a possibility?
Some other possibilities:
[name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], and
I don’t think that [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] is unusable with your crew. I would say that [name_m]William[/name_m], [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] or [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] would be too close. But [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] & [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] aren’t too close. If we were being knit-picking trying to narrow down a list I’d probably mention how they were close in sound. However, if it’s the one name that you really love, I would go for it. It’s cute, & fits great with your daughters’ sweet classy names.
Your girls names are beautiful and go so well together! I do agree that [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] is a little too similar to go with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].
So many of these are on my list! I really like [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_u]Joss[/name_u], [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], and [name_m]Louis[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], too, but what does everyone think of the more simple Dashel?
I do like Dashel, but I have to say that I prefer [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]. I think both are totally usable, though — in fact, another [name_u]Berry[/name_u] has a Dashel, I think (sorry, can’t remember the name). It might be worth searching her out and asking how the name goes over in real life.
I love [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] and think it’s cute that it matches [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. I feel like it’s a cute bookend. I understand this isn’t the popular opinion, but I say go for it!
