Matching initials?

A question for all Berries: [name]How[/name] do you feel about matching initials with the parents?

For example, I know a family where the parents are [name]Klaus[/name] and [name]Jennifer[/name] and the children and [name]Kaisa[/name] and [name]Jack[/name]. (so they are K+J and K+J) I asked, and they didn’t do it intentionally.

I do think it is kind of cute, but I would never let it completely dictate my name choices. What do you think?

I like it.
I was looking for names for a story I was writing, and suddenly the mother and father had the same initials only reversed (dad had DJ, mum had JD). I’m considering using DJ as initials for their daughter.
I wouldn’t do it with my name, because there are very few pretty names beginning with Å, and it’s not very practical when going abroad or even just online (email addresses and such)

I know a family like that, too. I think they did name the 2nd child on purpose with the same initial as the mom after they named their first with the same initial as the dad (I think that was a coincidence).
I always thought it was neat.

I think its cool. The only time I think of it to be too much is when the names all start with the same first letter. I know a family that is [name]Mike[/name] and [name]Michelle[/name] with kids [name]Mike[/name] ([name]Jr[/name]), [name]Morgan[/name] and [name]Mason[/name]. That sort of thing is nms.

DH and I do a less apparent version, his mn starts with L and mine with E and the kids follow with those letters as their mn’s too.

I also knew a family once that was [name]Jim[/name] and [name]Jori[/name] (parents) and Jiva and [name]Jaya[/name] (kids). That was a bit too much “J” for me…

But there is something sweet about doing the matching initials to me. It is not super subtle, but not as obvious either. I sort of like it.

I know a couple with two kids who did that on purpose with both of them. I think it’s cute but I wouldn’t let initials limit me for myself. If it happens unintentionally with my future kids, I wouldn’t mind though.

I’ve known 2 families like this. I grew up down the street from [name]Tom[/name] and [name]Terry[/name] and they had sons [name]Timothy[/name] and [name]Tyler[/name]. They didn’t like it.

At the daycare I work at, there’s a family with 2 children and the dads initials are JC. The children are [name]Jillian[/name] [name]Cole[/name] and [name]Jacob[/name] [name]Christian[/name].

Personally, I think it’s a little too cutsey for me, but I think it’s great if that’s what your into
