Matchy matchy sibling set

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all,

Would like to have your opinions on sibling names Arl0, boy (meaning fortified hill) and Arlie/Arli: girl (meaning meadow) as a sibling set. Is it a big No? [name_u]Or[/name_u] its doable you think? Seems like we cannot come up with a girl name that we like despite so much research! And we are truly in love with Arl0!

Are these names like [name_u]Pat[/name_u] and [name_u]Mat[/name_u] to you? or its more bearable than that?

Thanks and I appreciate your opinion!

yeah, their like [name_u]Pat[/name_u] and [name_u]Mat[/name_u], way to close.

yeah, way too close unfortunately :grimacing: (both names are absolutely lovely- I do see the appeal!)

I’d mix them up constantly

they’re way too close unfortunately!

Unfortunately it’s way too close! I actually think even [name_u]Pat[/name_u] and [name_u]Mat[/name_u] are more usable, as they are both established names on their own, while Arli(e) seems like a nickname of Arl0. I hope you guys find something you love!

Tooooooo close for sure…

Try:

[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Sunni[/name_f]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Judith[/name_f]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Annette[/name_f]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] “Arlo & Annie”
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Ava[/name_f]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Gia[/name_f]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Polly[/name_f]

Hopefully this helps!

I mean, I’ve met very, very matchy sibsets before (think [name_f]Alina[/name_f], [name_f]Amina[/name_f] and [name_f]Adina[/name_f], [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] and [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] and Lilly), so it’s not un-doable but I do think it would get confusing while they’re young, and those I’ve met with those names have found it irritating.

They’re way too close for me personally. I have met siblings [name_f]Inga[/name_f] & [name_m]Ingo[/name_m] though.

I don’t think the kids would like that, it’s too theme-y.

How about, assuming Arlo is fixed, Arlo &

Kirrily
Keeley
Tinsley
Kinsley
Kirra
Tarni
Chiara
Kara/Cara
Cora
Alora
Aster
Isla
Everly
Lenor /Leonora
Elsbeth (Elsie)

Or I would change Arlo, since it’s more popular, and have, Airlie &

Leo
Ames
Archie
Asher
Skylar
Silas
Spencer
Finnegan
Orson
Otto
Otis
Arthur
August
Henley
Hartley
Marlowe

Or you could use Charles or Arthur nn Arlo and/or Arabella or similar nn Airlie.

I do think [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_u]Arlie[/name_u] are too similar. I do think you could use [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] with [name_f]Carly[/name_f] or [name_u]Marley[/name_u] if you like those.

Yep too similar. Like the peevious poster said [name_f]Carlie[/name_f], [name_f]Marlie[/name_f] & I would say [name_u]Harley[/name_u] work. [name_u]Or[/name_u] maybe Aelie/Aylie or [name_u]Allie[/name_u].

[name_m]Way[/name_m] too similar. I’d do more like:

[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Darlene[/name_f]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Darla[/name_f] (or Marla/Marley, Carla/Carly)
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_u]Arya[/name_u]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Lori[/name_f] (or Laura)

[name_u]Or[/name_u] the like…
