I’ve recently fallen in love with Matilda all over again and it’s climbed up my list significantly potentially to the top 2 spot (despite it becoming slightly more popular where I live, it’s not as popular in my country of origin but it works well and is known which is exactly what I’m looking for). What vibes does this name give you, does it work well with my top name (I have on and off phases thinking it does/doesn’t work-see below *), middle name options (see below **).
*The name I’m talking about as my top name/potential sister is Ingrid (middle names aren’t very used where I’m from but I’ll pop a few just in case, my options for Ingrid are Eliza and Victoria if Matilda isn’t used as a first name but if I can’t use Matilda and Ingrid together, Ingrid Matilda could be an option). Other names I really like (choose sister which fits most with Matilda) include Aurora, Freya, Amelia, Esther, Clara, Eliza, Victoria, Florence, Athena, Esme, Selene, Penelope Eloise and Daphne (see UC).
** The middle names I’d consider for Matilda (nn potential is high could be Millie, Tillie/y, Tilda, Maude, Ilda so think about this too) include Matilda Alice, Matilda Daphne, Matilda Louise, Matilda Eloise, Matilda Aurora, Matilda Esme, Matilda Eva, Matilda Isla, Matilda Eliza, Matilda Amelie etc .Favourite Combo (take potential sister names into account) and Other Middle Name option suggestions?

I don’t see why [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] couldn’t work for sisters! I think those are really beautiful together!

I understand why she’s popular in the UK it’s because she’s so lovely. I think [name_f]Maude[/name_f] works as unexpected nickname but I think I prefer [name_f]Tillie[/name_f] she’s just sugary and beyond adorable. [name_u]Or[/name_u] maybe [name_u]Mattie[/name_u] for a tomboy feel.
