Thoughts on this name and spelling preference? [name]How[/name] about [name]Mattie[/name] as a NN?
It’s always been a boy’s name to me. I’m having a hard time picturing it on a girl.
I’d pronounce the first one “[name]Matt[/name]-tay-ah”, and the second “[name]Matt[/name]-thee-ah”, so I guess it depends on what kind of pronunciation you want. I prefer the first spelling for either boys or girls.
I prefer [name]Mattea[/name]. I think it’s a beautiful name, though most people haven’t heard of it.
I like [name]Mattea[/name]. But pprefer tthe nn [name]Thea[/name] instead of [name]Mattie[/name].
[name]Mattea[/name] used to be on my long girls list, and I still think it’s beautiful but for some reason it looks very masculine in with all my overly frilly girls names. I think [name]Mattie[/name] is a cool nickname, she’d also [name]Tea[/name] (prn. [name]Tay[/name]-uh) as a backup if she wanted something a little more girly.
