I’d love to get more definitive feedback via poll or otherwise.

This is my shameless self-bump.

I really like both for different reasons. I am drawn to older sounding names ([name]Maude[/name]) and it is slightly unexpected. I love the short, simple, spunky nature of [name]May[/name]. I have a [name]Maeve[/name], so phonetically, these names both appeal to me.

[name]May[/name] seems sweet and fresh. You know that hopeful, happy feeling you get when spring comes, that is what [name]May[/name] reminds me of.

I love [name]Maeve[/name]. I just have this compulsion to say ‘maven’ instead, so I can’t really see using it. But it’s such a lovely name.

Thanks!

I completely agree. I just worry maybe [name]May[/name]'s too sweet.

Thank you!

I voted for [name]May[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t worry about it being too sweet—to me, it seems really spunky too. It’s also a really pretty month.

Sorry, but I really dislike [name]Maude[/name]. It’s right up there is [name]Bertha[/name] and [name]Dorcas[/name] for me.

[name]May[/name] is lovely.

That’s why I asked, I want honest opinions.

Thank you.

I love [name]May[/name]!

I really love [name]May[/name](prefer [name]Mae[/name]). [name]Maude[/name] is not on the cool side of vintage.

[name]Maude[/name]! [name]One[/name] of my favourites, though unfortunately disliked here for some reason.
[name]May[/name] is more of a nickname to me.
