I went with [name]August[/name] [name]James[/name].
I love the name [name]August[/name] and I think, because it’s a bit ‘different’, [name]James[/name] balances it out nicely.
I voted for [name]Maverick[/name] [name]Elijah[/name]. Mostly because I love the nn’s for [name]Maverick[/name], and I also love the name [name]Elijah[/name]! I don’t care for the nn [name]Augie[/name].
I voted [name]August[/name] [name]Wesley[/name]… I think it has a beautiful flow! I think [name]Maverick[/name] is a bit trendy for my taste and I haven’t met any little Augusts!
I love both [name]Maverick[/name] and [name]August[/name].
I voted for [name]Maverick[/name] [name]Easton[/name], [name]Maverick[/name] [name]Elijah[/name] and [name]August[/name] [name]Elijah[/name].
I voted for [name]Maverick[/name] [name]Easton[/name]. [name]August[/name] seems a bit expected on this site, but [name]Maverick[/name] has that cool factor.
[name]August[/name]! My brother in law just named his dog [name]Maverick[/name], but I am in love with the name [name]August[/name]!
I voted for [name]August[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Garrett[/name]! I love it! Possible nicknames AJ, Auggie, or [name]Gus[/name].
[name]Love[/name], love, love [name]August[/name] [name]James[/name]!! Really, it is perfect. I do like [name]Maverick[/name] (I know one), but not as well as [name]August[/name].
BUT! You could always flip a coin, assign [name]August[/name] to heads, [name]Maverick[/name] to Tails, and see what it lands on. That way, you have an answer. If you end up disappointed if the coin comes up [name]Maverick[/name], you’ll know to go with [name]August[/name] or vice-versa. OR, if you are pregnant, you could just hold onto both names, and see which fits your son better when you meet him. (You could do this even if you aren’t pregnant! No reason to discount either yet!)
I voted for [name]August[/name] [name]Wesley[/name]. While [name]Maverick[/name] does have the “cool” factor going for it, I think [name]August[/name] will age with your son much better. I try to picture names being used in a variety of settings–the playground, a blue collar occupation, on the cover of a bestseller, with a judge’s gavel in its hand or with a Phd at the end.
[name]August[/name] is distinctive but still a classic, and won’t wear out after he graduates from the high school wrestling team. HTH!
That is also a good point titus245mama. I don’t want his name to seem too cheesy for him as an adult either, but can’t help that I still really like it lol. I guess in a few weeks I will have to decide!
[name]Maverick[/name] makes me think of [name]Tom[/name] [name]Cruise[/name]'s character and it just seems really 80s to me. [name]August[/name] is great! I picked [name]August[/name] [name]Tristan[/name] [name]Garrett[/name] - love that combo!
