Maverick or Maven

Husband and I have decided to drop one of his hyphenated surnames. [name_m]Maverick[/name_m]-[name_f]Maven[/name_f].

We’re not sure which one we want to drop. Our names are [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f].

[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Maverick[/name_m]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_m]Maverick[/name_m]

[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_f]Maven[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Maven[/name_f]

Which one do you think sounds best with our first names?

EDIT: thank you for the helpful responses! Just wanted to clarify that Maven is said like the beginning of AVENue or Gavin.

I’d go with [name_m]Maverick[/name_m]. I really like [name_f]Maven[/name_f] but I think [name_m]Maverick[/name_m] works with your names better.

I’m a vote for [name_f]Maven[/name_f]!

I second the [name_m]Maverick[/name_m] opinion!

I’d keep [name_m]Maverick[/name_m]! [name_f]Maven[/name_f] reminds me of a girl’s first name! If the two of you ever have a daughter, you could always name her [name_f]Maven[/name_f]!

I really love this idea. [name_m]Maverick[/name_m] sounds better with your names, but this would be a great way to keep [name_f]Maven[/name_f] in the family

[name_f]Maven[/name_f], hands down.

I would use [name_f]Maven[/name_f]. It sounds nicer to me, especially with your name.

I think I like [name_f]Maven[/name_f] better as a name, but [name_m]Maverick[/name_m] definitely sounds better with your first names.

This is an awesome idea! Thank you
