I know some people are really against boy names on girls. But, I am in love with this name for a girl. I am looking for a frilly/girly middle name that would flow nicely with the name [name]Max[/name]. I like different, unique names. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! The name I had in mind is Max Lylah
With short first names, I think the more syllables in the MN the better … [name]Evangeline[/name]? [name]Persephone[/name]?
I agree, I just really don’t care for long names, maybe I just haven’t found the right one. More suggestions would be great!
[name]Do[/name] you dislike [name]Maxine[/name], [name]Maxima[/name], [name]Axelle[/name], [name]Roxanna[/name], Oxanna?
[name]Max[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Max[/name] Belladonna
[name]Max[/name] [name]Francesca[/name]
[name]Max[/name] [name]Penelope[/name]
Longer & princessy mn would work best imo
[name]Isabella[/name] … [name]Isadora[/name] … [name]Anastasia[/name] …
I never considered [name]Max[/name] for a girl until [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name] came out with [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Drew[/name] … it hasn’t grown on me, and it probably never will, but I’ve accepted it.
[name]Max[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]
[name]Max[/name] [name]Elise[/name]
[name]Max[/name] [name]Michelle[/name]
[name]Max[/name] [name]Giselle[/name]
[name]Max[/name] [name]Selene[/name]
[name]Max[/name] [name]Flora[/name] - [name]Flora[/name] is still unique in it’s own right as a name. It isn’t in the top US 1000 and it means “flower”. “Greatest flower”.
[name]Max[/name] Aleli - (pronounced “[name]Ah[/name]-lel-ee”) I figure you liked unique spellings, based on “[name]Lylah[/name]”. Plus you seem to like the letter “L” in a middle name. Aleli isn’t spelled with too many letters like many three-syllable names. It’s very sleek-looking. I’ve seen Aleli on a girl.
Let me know what you think about these two combinations before I go any further.
Somehow, [name]Max[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name] and [name]Max[/name] [name]Allison[/name] are occurring to me.
Thanks everyone! Some I like are [name]Max[/name] [name]Elise[/name], [name]Max[/name] [name]Anastasia[/name], [name]Max[/name] Aleli . I’m just very picky and looking for that perfect name. [name]Max[/name] [name]Preslee[/name], [name]Max[/name] [name]Hadley[/name], [name]Max[/name] [name]Lindy[/name]??
I’ve always loved [name]Max[/name] for a girl- as a nickname. Using a fuller feminine name, like Maximiliana, [name]Maxine[/name], Maximilienne, [name]Maxima[/name], or Maxienne (- allows a girl to choose how feminine she wants her name to be. I’d strongly caution you against [name]Max[/name] on its own. I really think you’ll regret using [name]Max[/name] on its own and your daughter won’t like it. I’ve yet to meet a girl with a hyper-masculine name ([name]Ryan[/name], [name]Shawn[/name], [name]Ashton[/name], [name]Troy[/name], etc.) who likes having a name that’s more common for boys. I myself have an etymologically male name that’s caught on for girls, and I’ve always hated that. You can still call her [name]Max[/name]- you don’t ever have to use her full name if you don’t want to. But using it as a nickname gives flexibility and options, and after all, it’s not YOUR name, so the more flexible the better.
If you’re absolutely, positively, dead-set on [name]Max[/name] on its own, I think [name]Elise[/name] and [name]Anastasia[/name] are the best options for middles. I think they’re both great names and they have a nice flow. [name]Preslee[/name], [name]Hadley[/name], and [name]Lindy[/name] are all unisex, so they really don’t help you make [name]Max[/name] more feminine!
[name]Max[/name] [name]Elaina[/name]
[name]Max[/name] Aranya
[name]Max[/name] [name]Amelia[/name](ok that kind of sounds like a superhero :/)
…could you do a sound alike and use [name]Max[/name] as a NN? what about something along the lines of [name]Maris[/name]? I agree that a having options when shes older would be better than just having [name]Max[/name]…but [name]Maxine[/name], [name]Maxima[/name], etc just dont have that “wow” factor or tough cuteness that [name]Max[/name] has…
Or have max as a middle name and that can be what you call her at home…my middle name is [name]Nicole[/name] and growing up, my parents always called me [name]Nikki[/name] and to this day, I prefer it over my first name…
