My father and I are very close, and we were talking about baby names on the phone the other day. He told me he had always wanted to be named [name_u]Max[/name_u], and if I were a boy he wanted to name me [name_u]Max[/name_u], and he would love if I used [name_u]Max[/name_u], even as a MN. What do you think? standalone or part of a longer name (right now I am leaning towards [name_m]Maximus[/name_m]). My only issue is that I’m a bit worried about the combination of max + love ( sequoia maximus love ??? eek).

I also love [name_m]Maxim[/name_m]… [name_m]Maksim[/name_m]. [name_m]Maximo[/name_m]. But [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] is very rugged and handsome.
I was confused…I guess I think of [name_u]Sequoia[/name_u] as a girl’s name, and [name_u]Max[/name_u] as so cute it could follow the unisex trend. [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] is all boy–I’d make that the first name!
@ottilie- It definitely would be an awesome way to honor my dad - I always thought I’d use [name_m]Kevin[/name_m] (his name) but i couldn’t get over the repeating hard c/k sounds so close together!) I am glad you like it - you don;t think it sounds bit too porn-starry?
@boyandgirl - I like [name_u]Max[/name_u] on its own, too, but since we have a one-syllable last name I just think it sounds a bit abrupt. I am sure Grandpa would be calling him [name_u]Max[/name_u] :), and I’m totally okay with that.
