What does everyone think of [name]Maxine[/name]? I’m really starting to love it. I’m not sure on the nicknames though. I think [name]Max[/name] would be cute sometimes, but would prefer to call her [name]Maxine[/name] 99% of the time. [name]Do[/name] you think that would be possible? Or would such a name be doomed to have a nickname?

[name]Maxine[/name] is really interseting. I like it a lot more then alot of the [name]Max[/name]-for-a-girl names going around ([name]Maxwell[/name]? Nein.) It’s really fresh, I don’t think it’s a name that’s been on the top 1000 for a long time (if at all.) Though it’s not a favorite, I like it enough.
The only downside is the nickname [name]Maxi[/name]. I watched a video where three old ladies discussed the name [name]Maxwell[/name], and one of them cried “They’re going to call her [name]Maxi[/name] Pad in high school!”
But I wouldn’t let that turn you off the name. And if you don’t want her to have a nickname, she doesn’t have to!

I love [name]Maxine[/name]. It’s so spunky and has a such a strength. Yet it’s feminine. Perfect mix. I definitely think she could be known simply as [name]Maxine[/name] to the world as large, but her good friends may call her [name]Max[/name] or [name]Maxie[/name], just as a pet name.
it’s a nice name, but it’s my best friend’s cat’s name… and every time I hear it, I see [name]Maxine[/name]'s face.
I really love this name…my husband is [name]Maxim[/name] so I think it would be nice to use [name]Maxine[/name], even as a mn. I wouln’t use a nn except [name]Max[/name] on occasion like you said. I guess [name]Zina[/name] is a possibility if you were looking for something different. I think it’s really cute! I wouldn’t mind seeing a few -ine names come back. This & [name]Claudine[/name] are my favorite ones!
